If someone who, besides an arm injury is perfectly healthy and able to work, shouldn't someone such as myself, who was born with cerebral palsy affecting my entire lower half, which brings a host of problems. Making it difficult to walk, impossible to run, and impossible to go up and down stairs without support, and who must use at least one and sometimes two canes just to take a step, be able to collect disability? I was born with it and must live life with it. And they get away with this.

i am a 43 yr. female. 4/2010 i had a stroke and my liver and kidneys went into full failer. i had to sighn resesatate or not papers. i spent two weeks in the icu and 1 more in recovery still in the hospital. i lived. i was put on SS disability. thank god for it, however i hated it as i started getting better i was determaind to go back to work. i had worked for a major retailer before this and i returned 5 months ago. i have slight speach probs. and use a walker, i am loveing being back working.
I like Judge Judy but I don't like how she talks about disabled people as if she is higher that them in everything. Even smart people go through problems as well, not just disabled people. One minute I see smart people show that they are all that and then the next minute, I hear they have problems and they have to be on leave.
Judy talks bad about all disabled people in general like we're the scum of the earth because we put our time in and got hurt and had to leave early because stuff happens. In general what she said was wrong but in this guys case I agree with her. If Judy became disabled she'd want her check and would be on the phone with SSI 5 min after mailing her application in. I wish she'd realize most of us disabled do as much as we can but have severe limitations we don't want but have to deal with anyway.

It would of been better if both parties explained their version of events in the graphic display board, since they had it there already. Since at the end this is an educational program, they missed the chance of showing the public in a very clear way how a violent car incident comes about. With so much talking about secondary things, the whole scene turned up quite blurry not exactly knowing what happened there. JJ focused more on the defendant´s psychological traits than in the accident itself

How rude!!!! Can you wear an orange vest and say hello? Then work at Wal-Mart. It's not a disabled persons fault they can't work!!!! I'm disabled and can't work but I would love to be able to work and do all i used to be able to do. I agree this guy screws up big time taking meds wrong and all that but he's not like most disabled that are in pain 24/7 and can't do much. Judy should realize he's not the norm and people like him ruin everything for the people that really need help we funded!

MEANWHILE ppl with REAL disabilities- heart failure, severe spine abnormalities, TBI or who were in auto accidents with major life threatening injuries have to fight the corrupt system like hell for months or years just to be APPROVED for minimal payments to LIVE ON, meanwhile this scum is scamming us all.

I don't know what it is like in the US but in Canada I had hurt my back and it seems like the Dr.'s like to hand prescriptions out like candy and if you don't have a lot of money the actual treatment that you need to recover without the meds. is impossible to finance. You just have to refuse to take them and many people like this man must like feeling like you are in outer space.

It would of been better if both parties explained their version of events in the graphic display board, since they had it there already. Since at the end this is an educational program, they missed the chance of showing the public in a very clear way how a violent car incident comes about. With so much talking about secondary things, the whole scene turned up quite blurry not exactly knowing what happened there. JJ focused more on the defendant´s psychological traits than in the accident itself

@parko456 So? My father has 4 slipped discs in his back after a vending machine fell on him when he was 29. He's 38 now. He has more pain than one can imagine, but he never acts like that. He has morphine patchs to take away the pain, but he'd never abuse them. He still works and now owns his own business. There's no reason why this man can't work.
