  • Cool , where did you learn that ?

  • @vardushik I taught myself iPhone programming for the most part. Early on, Aaron Hillegas' book on Cocoa Programming for Mac helped me out a lot.

  • When I opened the final project in the simulator, it was blank.

I also noticed an error (Method definition not in @implementation context, what's that?)

May the error be the problem? Thanks for the awesome tutorial! :D

  • @cdsboy2000 You put your code outside of the @implementation code in the .m. Make sure you put the actually code between the @implementation and the @end in your .m file.

  • Great tutorial.

  • Thanks a million for this - actually easy to follow. Brilliant!

  • Ok. I managed to get in in my phone. It won't start.. any ideea ?

  • So how do I load it in my iPhone ?

  • @BulleTOfIce Its 99 $ a Year but you could find a cracked acc.

  • You guys are in high school? Nice job. Im in my junior year at University studying Computer Science. Keep it up, just know that the field is extremely saturated =(

  • @malakov5 actually I'm going into 8th grade, my colleagues are going into 10th.

  • @malakov5 actually I'm going into 8th grade, my colleagues are going into 10th.

  • I absolutely like this video

  • @theracingtube Nope. Apple made it specifically so you have to buy their products to program for the iPhone, but good question.

  • great tutorial and delivered at a good pace. your voice is pleasant and enunciation is great (unlike other tutorials here on YT).

  • @nico3641 check out our more recent videos. I think they are nicer personally.

  • i cant drag "OK" button to "code" what's wrong?

  • please make more iPhone programming videos!!

  • i cant download iphone sdk !! it says accses denied!

  • ryan.. when you are at the: InterFace Builder_and AFTER you wrote the code, you should have under the attributes folder the correct a IBOutlets and then you should drag with the: Comand key to the icons to link. Make sure you link by looking at the Attributtes.:)then it will work.

  • Hi - I have tried this and can not get WORLD to change to anything else. Any ideas?

  • In the tutorial the implementation of "code" class in code.m file should be with capital C - (IBAction)Click:(id)sender. try it.

  • I want to learn how to program in objective-c I can follow someones codes. But when it comes to me writing code I do not know what to do. I can do the interface, but code is my weakness. How can I learn. Thanks, guys n gals.

  • Yea I tried that thanks, but after a nearly giving up I found out the problem. The problem was that I did not have the strings command right, so it did not show in the object Appcontroller box. I re-typed it and it showed in the attributes. Thank-you for you'r time. You're AWSOME.

  • Can some one answer this??? :)

When i go to interface builder, so i can connect the app W/ the object box i can't seem to have the pop ups that come up in the tutorial, for the connection.

  • You click then hold down control while dragging. Try that.

  • nice tutorial, i like the concept behind the programming model that apple propose, but objective c appears to me an incredible waste of time if compared to other languages, maybe i'm wrong but this is my fitst impression, i hope to have the chance to use it a bit so to have clearer idea

  • Yes Objective-C is very unnecessarily hard. But it gives you a LOT more power and control then Java, memory wise anyway.

  • im sorry about my last comment i didnt watch the video all the way through. but when i try to set the object attribute to the code class, it wont say code.h and when i try to drag the object to the text field it doesnt work.

  • i was wondering how to get my library and attributes inspector up when i open the main window. It would be greatly appreciated if you could get back to me ASAP. Thanks.

  • thanks

  • Your welcome.

  • Do you know why my Inspector window always displays "Button Attributes"?

I can't seem to get it to display attributes for any other object and when I click on Identity or Connections or Size, it always displays the same thing.

  • Your Xcode inspector?

  • how to you guys learn how to program?

  • We teach ourselves.

  • There are apple podcast on programming for the iPhone aswell. That can help aswell.

  • Yeah,

  • Awesome. I've been wanting to learn how to do some stuff with the SDK. I have great ideas just no knowledge LOL!
