Kaya's acting is awesome, but I don't really like Effy and Freddie together. And now they are suddenly in love? This series seems to have left a lot of details to the plot out...a few episodes were definitely wasted.

Cook and Effy are perfect for each other, and at least they are actually interesting. Maybe next series he will come around.

you know, the only reason i have a preference to cook and effy was because i couldn't stomach freddie and effy.

like you, i'm completely lost as to how they "fell in love". the whole "love at first sight" thing is kind of cliche, if you ask me. at least with cook, i can understand how he eventually grew to "love" her. she was the only one who ever came back to him. who seemed to like him and his company despite how much of a dick everyone else thought he was.

The only reason she went back to him time after time was b/c she was scared of the strong feelings she had for Freddie. So she thought by using Cook as a distraction would help ease time while the odd feelings would dissolve. Obviously, it wasn't the case. Unlike Freddie + Effy, Cook and Effy's 'relationship' is nothing besides sex. Few exchange of words - then sex. It's stupid if you ask me so that's why I adore Freddie and Effy. :D

I have to disagree, Freddie and Effy have talked 4 times the whole series and 2 of those times he was telling her how shite she was. Cook and Effy do have a strong physical relationship, but they connect on other levels and I wouldn't get to comfortable with your Freffy ending. Passion like that doesn't go down without a fight.

Cook and Effy connect because they are more or less the same person. Which is why sometimes they are too much together. Cook understands her on a level that Freddie just can't. Freddie wants to fix her and have this happy fluffy ending and that's just not Effy. Cook's the only person besides Tony that understand why she does the things she does. That's how they connect.
