  • Awesome singing and playing Ken. You have a great and smooth voice......hits the right spots!!!!!

    Mary Anne - London Ontario

  • cant see him strum or hit the notes

  • sux for u

  • I just read your bio, when you were in Borden what air cadets corp were you in? Alliston?

  • was in AC in Cold Lake AB.

     about 75-80

  • Great playing! AWESOME VOICE!

  • Wow, this sounds really good. I can't believe you recorded that on the Mac in your lab! You should record more Dr. Mitton :)

  • Need a little more feeling and emotion when holding last note on each verse. I think you can sound just like Neil with that in mind. Keep it up bro! Neil Rules!!

  • Very, very fantastic. How about including the fretboard in the vision next time so muppets like me can cheat?

  • can u focus the camera on the guitar next time?

  • Why on the guitar? It's fine as it is!

  • your good! can you play some more neil young songs please???

  • beautiful, good voice! ^^

  • Dude, amazing job but what's the rush. Accelerating through the whole song.

  • No. He was in perfect tempo the entire time.

  • kerpse is right

  • nice work

  • Very nice. Thanks.

  • good stuff man

i learned this song from reading the music but i think i like your method better

  • man, awesome job! forget about all that scientific dna crap. music is your true calling!

  • whatcha cooking up in that lab?

  • DNA constructs, protein constructs. Finding out how some genes work to make one cell different from another. Neuron, muscle, skin etc. Genes that control such things are often genes that get mutated, or changed, to cause inherited retinal diseases in people. We try to understand how the system works when it is normal, so we understand why its broke when its changed. Then, with that knowledge, hopefully some body can find a smart way to fix it.

  • Well... in a perfect world it might work like that or maybe it does in Canada.

Somehow when the capitalist Pharma and organized medicine gets involved it just gets impure. Here's hoping your research end up doing a lot of good for a lot of people.

Great rendition and Mac's rock don't they?

  • wow thats an awesome voice

  • love it

  • Bill nye the science Guy.....

  • great job buddy keep on rockin in the free world!

  • that was great.

  • gr8!! niel young in the making

  • Good cover.

    Thanks for the... description.

  • Awsome

  • He does a hell of a lot better than you. Guitar and voice wise.

  • holy crap! you sound just like him! that was excellent.

  • good job rockstar. no nukes.

  • cool man, I still have things to learn ...

  • Nice one! Don't accidently blow up anything.

  • wonderful - I'm currently learning the song and have been using your video as an aid.

  • Sweet, wish I could also see what your hands are doing. Any chance of a bit of a you tube tutorial ?

  • I will try to do a tutorial to show you my mixed strum / picking style, the hammers and pulls..

    Ken

  • Nice))

  • the imac looks like it has some pritty good quality

  • nice job, talking about people getting the words wron. One dude transcribed it as 'we hit the city and I lost my van'.

I like the vision of neil and his band stoned on H wondering where the f*ck they put their van. Maybe you should include it as an alternate verse.

    Nice hammers

  • I heard a CBC radio story once about mistaken lycrics and apparently "I shot the sheriff" (Eric Clapton's version) in the verse " but I swear it was in self defence.." is one of the mose miss-heard lyrics by listeners. Some examples they got from people on the street were hilarious including : " I shot the sheriff...cause I saw him wearing silky pants..". Listen to it sometime.

  • excellent job. this song is not easy. been practicing it regularly for about 2 years and still is very difficult for me.

  • Fantastic job, on both guitar and voice. I love the hammer-ons you add after the E chords.

  • you do look a bit like an uncle of a friend of mine

  • nice.....very good

  • =) bella versione!

    good version.. bravo ;-)

  • La suonavo anch'io da giovane...

  • hey you play relaxt! cool man!!

  • Actually, I bet I have changed some other words. After you sing a song a long time, little alterations drift in slowly. I notice them when I suddenly hear the original again.

  • Nice, now let's see the strings and your fingers while playing.

  • Do you play this one already sidney, or do you need to learn it? I can record some of it again with close work on the left hand if you like? I just flat pic with one pic for the left hand.

  • I have been trying to learn guitar, and anytime I can pick up somthing. it is that much closer to obtaining my goal. Technique is is useful to see, if I ever take the time to follow up on it! Thanks...Like I said nice work..

  • Wow, had no idea you were going to sing too!! What a super job!!!!!

    love Mom and Twisted Sister.

You should be singing in a coffee shop somewhere!!!

  • The way research funding is drying up..... you may get your wish LOL.

  • did you add a little reverb to the vocals or is that just the room?

    very nicely done

  • Believe it or not, this is just what you can capture using the built in dot hole microphone in the iMac computer (2007 edition). From my previous radio station sound production days, I found that reverb is ok to add, but just the right amount. Most people overdo it.
