Beowulf was a ludacious liar - firstly, no matter how strong you are, you can swim for 5 days / nights. Second, the sea monsters in his descriptions violates the cubes law - too much volume for respiration to support, in addition the skeletal mass would critically reduce organs spaces. Thirdly, the human body is adapted for land movements, not ocean - Beowulf fighting water adapted sea monsters in their home ground will guarantee to lose, and suicidal to begin with. He is a liar and he know it.
