England has some beautiful areas - Yorkshire Dales, the North Yorkshire Moors, the Yorkshire costline, the Lake District, Derbyshire Peaks, the Cotswolds, Exmouth and Exmoor the Lune Valley - all stunning. i think that is an astoundingly ignorant view, to some people their heritage means a great deal to them and even though a birthplace may be a factor, I also think that a person heritage, lineage and culture are big factors in deciding nationality too. i think you may be mixing citizenship up with nationality

I can see where you are coming from. Like if someone is born in Scotland but their family is from India and they are hindu or whatever then they would like to think they are scottish-indian but as you wrote above - Nationality is the relationship between a person and their state of origin i.e. their country of birth.

Whats the point in being in a union where the other countries in it: Scotland, Wales, N.I. and even Cornwall hate us, not only hate us but consider England a foreign country.
I'd prefer England to drop the union as soon as possible, let the other countries go there merry way. It will be hard but at least we will have a gov that will have England at heart. Anyone who has travelled to Scotland or Wales will know that we are not united, we should just make it official.

Uh, yeah, of course. I'm English completely, both parents being English as were theirs, and I recently went up to Scotland. I found no divide there at all, went to many Scottish social places and such and -never-, not once found any sort of undivide at all. Save for a few jibes at my accent. :P

Whatever the reason, pick one, make one up, dont really care really. All i know is that its for things that happend way before you or i were born and for events that are not in my control, but folks in the North and west are compelled to blame me for it.
The blame game is getting old now, sooner England ditches the union the sooner you can look to your own doorstep for the blame for any failings that happen in life. The Current UK situation is untenable, all we are is the scapegoat for the UK

wtf?! Where do u get your facts from?? England IS a country, as is Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. They make up the four (and not three) parts of the United Kingdom, which is a UNION of these parts and not a country in itself. They each have thier own flags.

England is my country, nowhere compares for me, but I can still appreciate the beauty and culture of other countries. I have lived in Scotland, and visited Wales many times. Both lovely countries - we are lucky to have all this beauty and culture which we are all free to enjoy.
