we didn't realize that the player had auto-reverse.

Kate Bush is brilliant! "Wuthering Heights" is the one everyone quotes, but "Babooshka" is also great. "Lionheart" is a beautiful album, as is "The Kick Inside", though my favourites are "Never For Ever" and "The Dreaming".
