  • We will not be ruled....

Unless you are one of my slave, in which case i will rule you

    All men are created equal...

Unless you're black in which case you are a second rate citizen

Gotta love the declaration of independance

  • @N330AA

because of people like you, that still after 2 century's,interpret those words in such discremtory way,we still have racism

  • @Hoschi0913 I think i interpret them quite accurately.

  • @N330AA

you are free to do so,every coin has 2 sides

  • Geez, this guy hates America...

  • Thumbs up if when he said for the millions and millions you thought of the millions and millions of the rocks fans .

  • The most beautiful collection of quotes and words. Great speech Bill.

  • @muffin6617 Said:

"He paints the tea party as rational and capable thinkers. He is delusional. This is nonsense."

Have you considered the possibility that he is not delusional, but that you are woefully misinformed?

If you think you know more about the tea party than Bill Whittle does, you must be quite familiar with it. How many tea party events have you attended? Or do you ACTUALLY only have "knowledge" of the tea party from the media? Inform YOURSELF. The MSM has an agenda.

  • There is nothing more constitutional than seceding.

  • @Graham6762 What?

  • @Graham6762 With that in mind, please explain the Civil War.

  • awesome, simply awesome!!!!

  • Bill for President! Admirer from Denmark...

    God Bless America!

  • @himalajan hey bill admirer from bostn god bless denmark i been there it's beautiful

  • What an excellent idea to write out the Declaration of Independence Mr. Whittle!

  • Must see viewing for every American!

  • Amazing.

  • Ya know, now that I think about it, we shouldn't be arguing over Lincoln, we should remember that this video is to remind us about the morals and values our founding fathers stood up for, nowadays people are forgetting these values.

People, the Declaration is almost gone and the wording is nearly invisible, we need to preserve our founding principles of Life, Liberty, and the PURSUIT of Happiness, all which Lincoln and Washington, and Regan, and Bush, and McArthur stood for!

  • Lincoln killed a lot of Americans, a lot! That's why Obama likes him.

  • He didn't kill Americans, but asked Americans to lay their lives down to preserve our great Union.

But the Obama pun is a bit hilarious.

  • Yes! The Tea Party People are peacefully, protesting, even when SEIU shows up asking grandpa, "One lump or two!" Thanks for the great video, BIll. Well done!

  • Awesome. Only 1 comment. The Declaration is the "Why" of America, but the Constitution is the "What" not the "How." It tells what the government should and should not do; the laws enacted by Congress are the "How."

For example, Article III says, Congress will establish a Supreme Court and federal court system. That is a "What." The law Congress passed establishing the federal court system, Judiciary Act of 1789, was the "How."

  • I agree with Bill and I think this video is great.

But the comments on here are repulsive to any intellectual. I ask for all commenters who still use courtesy and logic to encourage postive critique instead of mindless gibberish.

I thank Bill for the video, and I thank all those who still have morals that they use common decency towards others.

  • Prafty?

One part PR olapse and one party dr AFTY?

    Dude!

They have a procedure that can fix that now.

  • What a terrible gag..

  • At least I put more thought into it than "muppet"

  • Yeah but muppet delivers my point, it works.

Whereas you would have sat there staring at my username for a good few minutes then delivered an absolute shocker.

  • Touche,

    And I have to admit.

    HIS HAIR NEVER MOVES!

But then I have to ask you.

Did you actually watch the video and have an opinion? Are you some 15 yo surfing YT, or do you really have something to say?

  • Alright, you seem a lot more respectable than i first thought. I respect Bill for believing in what Lincoln and America's forefathers believed etc. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I suppose it's his other videos that reeeally shit me.

He, like many conservatives, blames the political left for the short falling of what many predicted. I'm not far left by any stretch of the imagination, but I feel for the lack of social justice in America brought about by its ultra capitalist history.

  • Could you define "social justice" for me? It's one of those terms that people seem to use as shorthand but I've never been totally clear on what it means.

  • Hi prafty,

The problem with capitalism isn't capitalism...it's actually a big-business-in-bed-with-big-government problem. When bureaucrats are kept in check by citizens and gov't is NOT allowed to get cozy with industry, it's the solid capitalists who provide employment (empowerment) and, by extension, "social justice". Gov't serves to strip low-wage earners of their dignity by keeping EVERYONE down with idiotic laws - high taxes, minimum wage, etc. Why work harder if it gets you nowhere?!

  • the war would have been over after the first battle of Manassas.

This was war with enemy territory less than 20 miles away. So, yeah, Lincoln bent the Constitution. But in so doing, he saved it.

None of that detracts from the "words carved in granite" that Bill was talking about. So, go away troll we have no further need of thee.

  • The reason why the war wasn't over because the South had more Military Schools and Expericance, where as the North had more men and supplies, but tactics beat strength.

  • As much as it pains me to do it; I'll feed the troll.

    Was Lincoln a racist?

By our standards, probably yes. It was 1860. Even the most ardent of abolitionists really didn't see the black man as an equal.

Did Lincoln use extra-constitutional means? Absolutely.

It was war. One of the bloodiest wars we have ever fought.

So did Wilson in WW1 and Roosevelt in WW2.

Ever heard of the Battle of Bull Run? That was less than 20 miles from DC. Had the confederates pressed their advantage,.. continued...

  • @chinacat22 You are a fucking idiot. The race card won't work anymore, you disgusting fuck.

  • @chinacat22 LOL it's clear that you know nothing about the true history of Lincoln, for one thing he was actually very racist. after the Civil War he summoned the Black leaders of the day an basically tried to strong arm them into going back to Africa.

He also with suspended habeas corpus, shut down newspapers of opposing opinion, and publicly stated that if you didn't shout down people questioning government. You were a trader.

Anyone who idolizes Lincoln knows nothing about him.

  • @chinacat22 LOL you are a complete idiot, if all of the tea party protesters are supposedly racist,as you claim, and Lincoln is a racist. They wouldn't cheer when he was assassinated like you claim, dummy.

Also, Lincoln brazenly ignored law in favor of government power, i.e. Lincoln presided over what was essentially a dictatorship, meaning those protesting against him only wanted freedom.

Fair point, you are one for two.

Even though you're apparently too ignorant to remember what you wrote

  • Bigboss,

You don't do yourself any favors. Take a word of advise from Lincoln. "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

    The word is "traitor"

  • @daddyquatro LOL go fuck yourself you grammar police tit.

A momentary lapse on the one word doesn't invalidate the fact that everything else I said is TRUE.

If all you can do is nitpick over foibles then you sir, need Lincoln's advice far more than I

Because clearly you have removed all doubt that you are anything save for a petty nitpicker.

Now, I don't you go make a hangman's noose out of a razor wire and do the world a favor they've been begging you to do since birth

  • Geez dude. I think you need to check your meds.

  • "Trader" and "traitor" are two entirely different things. If you don't know that, I recommend cracking open a dictionary. If you do, then act like it.

  • @SumErgoMonstro don't think you taking the grammar police nonsense just a bit far?

It was just a momentary lapse of concentration on the keyboard, the way you make a federal case out of it only shows how weak of a position you have on everything else

  • How do you come up with the idea that I made "a federal case out of it"? I never suggested that Congress should pass a law to criminalize misspelling words, nor that any agency promulgate a regulation to that effect.

We can only judge the words you actually put here. We can't read your mind. People who use terms like "grammar police" place a low value on precision of language. That plays right into the hands of the people who redefine words for nefarious purposes. Don't fall for it.

  • Hey Monster! What took you so long?

  • You were doing fine. That someone would call YOU a grammar nazi is just hilarious. Let 'em deal with The Real Deal, I say.

  • I know!

Zombie and I took our discussion off-line. Seems like an intelligent enough fellow. We finally agreed to disagree.

  • I'm getting huge laughs out of the ignorance of the comment section.

  • The irony is killing me.

  • For real, man..... though I'm saddened at the same time.

  • As usual Bill, you drove the nail in too far. My head hurts now lol :D nice video, keep it up!

  • 5 *****

  • EXCELLENT, excellent video!!

  • Very well said, Bill. Thanks so much for this fabulous video.

  • Fantastic video! Don't despair, Bill. Freedom will never be snuffed out. The collectivist tyrants have already lost in the long run - they just don't know it yet. Soon enough the sleeping American giant will awaken once more to claim its birthright and, thankfully, people like you will be there to help lead the charge.

  • Bill, you are one of my favorite commentators. Thanks for your hard work and insight.

  • Great video, 5 stars.

    Peace

  • Poor Whittle... doesn't realize he's praising the biggest criminal to enter the White House. The man who DESTROYED the United States, incinerated the Constitution, and buried State's rights. I'd take 5 Obamas over 1 Lincoln. Lincoln turned this country into the illegitimate, imperialist slave that it is today.

  • Um, Zombie Obama has repeatedly referred to Lincoln as one of his greatest inspirations. your little comment there is baseless and completely wrong. The southern secessionist democrats are the ones who tore this country in half, because they refused to see a black man as the human being our founding principles say they are.

  • lol Put the 2nd grade text book away, thanks. Your elementary school history is wrong. The American Civil War was not about slavery. Git a brian, moran.

  • I know it was about "States rights." Precisely, the right to determine whether you can "own' another human being by state law. You can't, it goes against the constitutional principle that all human beings are given their rights by God. Thus, those racist pricks decided to make their own country, without the bounds of our constitution.

Now, let me go "Git a brian" because apparently I'm a "moran."

    Lol.

  • @ibdugefrsh Dude, please lay off the crack. It will turn you into a Democrat or a Jackass, or are they the same thing?

Oh no, it's too late. A Socialist calling one of the greatest leaders of men in the history of the world a Fascist is somewhat humorous.

  • "My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it" A.Lincoln

"If I thought this war was to abolish slavery, I would resign my commission and offer my sword to the other side"R.E.Lee

I am not defending slavery or a commie,I am merely telling you that Lincoln was not who YOU think he was. Learn to read please.

  • Lincoln said he wanted to repatriate in 1858 or 9, and most of his 'compromise' was while he was both running for office, and trying to bring a peaceful end to the war, or prevent it.

"I am naturally anti-slavery. If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong. I can not remember when I did not so think, and feel. And yet I have never understood that the Presidency conferred upon me an unrestricted right to act officially upon this judgment and feeling." -- Lincoln 1864 letter to A.G. Hodges

  • If you read more than the 'highlights' of him, you will find he labored for some time on what to do with Slavery. As President he did not consider himself able to do this alone. In many ways, the war made it easier, but he still took a lot of time considering options. He thought a lot, about almost every decision. Then again he had a LOT of big decisions.

  • We SHOULD have been repatriated back to our homeland! Back to our families, and our country!! But no, Lincolns opponents found that the migration of the blacks he freed offered up a whole new class of citizen to victimize and feed off of. A trend that conitnues in the democrat party to this day.

  • Comment removed

  • @pimpdalyrical. Many slaves were repatriated and founded Liberia, which is one of the poorest countries in the world. You're much better off here.

  • Yeah, I know that. Unfortunately the liberals have convinced most of my brothers that they are still owed something. The movement got bought off with pocket change and a block of cheese.

  • really? are you sure you're not in 2nd grade still? how can he "git a brian moran?" take your communist rewritten history lesson and spew it forth some where else

  • You're a clever one. Now am I communist or racist? I only ask b/c communists aren't allowed to discriminate. Actions speak louder than words. The things Lincoln did in his presidency were clearly unconstitutional and he continually changed his position before and during the war to finally play the race and independence cards. Slavery was in decline as it was anyway. He even offered the southern states permanent slavery as long as no new state would hold slaves if they'd stay in the union.

  • And all of this has exactly what relevance to the things that Bill said? Did you even watch the video?

And, to answer your question. No, you're a troll.

  • um... the relevance is Lincoln and this comment was directed at adamstrange's one right above this comment. I think you may have gotten confused as to what comment you were gonna pathetically flame.

Bill makes videos about states rights and small federal government then blows Lincoln. They are polar opposites - State's rights and Lincoln. Hell.. even liberty of any American flavor and Lincoln are at total odds.

  • Lincoln was a murderous tyrant! The most disturbing part of all this is, he's been & is still being glorified as an American Hero? The guy imprisoned & murdered innocent Americans who's only crime was political opposition. The only reason he's still being pumped up today is for the simple fact that the tyrants won the civil war & there for have control of our history. If you're one who believes slavery was the catalyst for the civil war, then you need to dig a little deeper into history!

  • Applejelly2. What? there was already another one?

I not exactly sure how to proceed with someone so historically illiterate. But let's take this one step at a time.

Who fired the first shot of the Civil War?

    Why did they do so?

    Ever heard of Andersonville?

Name another "tyrant" who permitted open elections for his position in the midst of a civil war. (and expected to lose)

Name another "tyrant" who put an end to institutionalized slavery.

Did you even watch the video?

  • I have to ask you again. Did you actually watch the video? I just watched it again and the words "states rights" are not present.

Bill praises Lincoln as a great writer, expressing the ideals of our founding.

Do you dispute that Lincoln was a great writer?

In all of Bill's work, the overarching themes are personal liberty, American exceptionalism, and personal responsibility. Lincoln and The Declaration are a metaphor for those.

  • Yes.. and I watch all Bill's videos and for him to consider Lincoln anything but terrible, regardless of his good qualities, it's nothing less than fucked up.

I only hear people say in jest "what about all the good things Hitler did?" It's a facetious statement to make b/c no one cares about his good qualities bc of the terrible things he did. The same goes for Lincoln. So don't play semantics with this video and ignore the other positions Bill supposedly holds. He loves Lincoln & it's foolish.

  • So, are you really arguing that Lincoln should have let the South secede? Let the Union be broken and by doing so allow the instituion of slavery continue to exist in North America? Really?

It's not playing semantics to quote and then refute you. "Bill makes videos about states rights..." Other than supporting the general principle of seperation of powers, I don't believe Bill has ever used the term, "States Rights"

Didn't take you long to go Godwin. Nice.

  • This video inspires

  • ...inspires vomiting.

    :P

  • I wish you had more manners, I am so done with your hateful comments, and when presenting "facts" there is a little thing I like to call "evidence" to back it up.

Please for the sake of common decency, please be respectful and present evidence, or you will present yourself as nothing more that a (respectful) waste of skin.

  • Well I'm just hurt that you are done with my "hateful" comments. The truth hurts. Ridiculing you rubes for your hard-ons for Lincoln and Bill's laughable hypocrisy. There are only 500 characters and I'm not one to toss a lot of links out. Try doing your own research instead of demanding spoon feeding. And as for "respectful".. you can expect respect when you give it to the Southern states for standing up for the last glimmer of liberty on this continent.

    ..l..(-_-)..l..

  • I'll ask you again, Zombie (since you didn't answer me before) Are you suggesting that Lincoln should have let the South secede, let the Union be broken, let the institution of slavery continue to exist?

  • All talk and no show. Typical, I can never have any intellectual discussions with anyone can I?

  • Beautiful, Bill. That was awesome.

    Thank you and God Bless

  • Amazing Bill- you had me wiping my eyes a little by the end. Chilling and inspiring at the same time.

  • Sir, your are a genius

  • Absolutely and undeniably great words and video! Bill Whittle, that's to whom President Obama should bow. A MUST see for Obama and the entire White House tenants !!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, simply awesome!

  • Yay! I missed you Bill! Great Video.

  • Lincoln: Another extraordinary human being taken out by a disciple of left wing hatred.

John Wilkes Booth was a Democrat, angry that Lincoln had freed the slaves and preserved the Union. He was a popular actor - the Sean Penn or Matt Damon of his day. Wilkes famously said, "I love Peace more than life." He called Lincoln a 'war monger' and was indistinguishable from today's left wing mouthpieces.

Thanks for the heartfelt reminder Bill.

  • one of the absolute best videos I have seen.

  • ubtimely deaths are the deaths we remember the most... Jesus, Lennon, Dianna etc

  • I am speechless. This moved me to the core of my being. It was more beautiful than than words can describe. This is going straight to my Facebook page. Thank you, thank you so much.

  • same here lol. faceook, here i come

  • Wonderful and inspiring!

  • Fuck eurohim.

  • The man was a dictator and is practically the beginning of what made the federal government dominant over the states. He had political enemies executed and decided to wage the bloodiest war of all time instead of allowing states to secede from the union.

  • You could not be anymore wrong. War started because it was deemed that slavery was unconstitutional since it violated practically all amendments. Those states chose to fight instead of secede. It is all in the annals of history, sir.

  • As much as the one you're replying to is wrong as hell, you're only part way right too. It wasn't just slavery, but taxes raised on the south because of slavery. The taxes is what pushed the southern states to try to secede and the conflict devolved into an all out war from there. The Rebel flag is a mockery of the British flag as a reminder to the North that they were acting like Great Britain.

  • I didn't specifically mention taxes since I figured that was covered in the slavery portion of my comment. If slavery was unconstitutional then anything associated with it would as well.

I like how they used the rebel flag to symbolize oppressive Great Britain, yet were being oppressive to slaves(who were men therefore protected under the constitution) all the same

  • They didn't consider themselves oppressive. They considered the black man property, not a human being. Much in the same way liberals today think that a fetus is nothing but a piece of the mother, instead of the obvious human individual it is. They even use the same twisted logic, calling it a rights issue for the mother, instead of the person being decapitated on a whim.

  • I could not agree more with this comment. I am copying this to my notebook. Well done, sir.

  • Lincoln had no interest in the abolition of slavery because he saw them as sub-human and didn't want them to exist equal besides whites. He didn't like slavery because he saw it as unfair competition to white laborers. His goal was to ship them all to some far away land. Slavery may have been one of the reasons that the southern states seceded, but it wasn't what caused the war. The war was caused because Lincoln didn't want to lose those states.Slavery wasn't deemed unconstitutional until later

  • The federal government deemed slavery unconstitutional prior to the war. They added an amendment afterward for safety but never the less, slavery was unconstitutional from the day the constitution was signed. It was only a matter of time that slavery was to be abolished. Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and even Washington wrote about it.

  • I do not deny that slavery is unconstitutional and more than that, unjust and plain wrong. Personal liberty does not know ethnic groups, for those are too large. The liberty of the individual is what matters.

  • Yes, unless, as stated in our constitution, there is a time of crisis, and individual rights could be revoked to save many of all races and peoples.

I have not seen one single supporting and reliable evidence that makes Lincoln a bad man. I revere him as a liberator and a great president and I have yet to see one piece of reliable evidence presented to prove me wrong.

Please respond in a respectful manner, thank you.

  • "Please respond in a respectful manner, thank you. " Where have I not?

Also, if his words and actions have not convinced you, then perhaps his words and actions were okay to you. That's your prerogative and I'm not really interested in changing your mind. It is yours, not mine. Starting the bloodiest war in history over secession attempts of member states (think the EU and Europe) and throwing political dissenters in jail is good for me and he didn't do it for the good of black people.

  • I say that because most of the responses I recieve are extremely rude, and I exepct this behavior from a lot of YouTubers.

Besides the Civil War was caused not by Lincoln but by earlier disagreements between the North and the South over the Constitution, and where does it say that Lincoln imprissioned "political dissenters".

Present evidence and facts to support your statement. Thank you.

  • Absolutely excellent narrative. Every person in America should watch this video.

    ★★★★★

We must restore the document in our hearts as you say and I intend to do this tonight. The signature I will add in bold type will be my own. I suggest everyone who does signs their names to the Declaration.
