Rudolf Diesel invented his engine to run on almost any kind of oil. The governement decided to call "their" oil "diesel", making he sheeple believe you had to run diesel engines on that fuel. This is complete bollocks. And dont believe the dis-info merchants who spread falsehoods about needing to add parrafin, or it damaging your injectors. Ever noticed why cooking oil is almost as expensive as diesel? To stop us using it as fuel. Keep on filtering people, do not fed the system that enslaves you
I made one similar, mounted on heavy caster wheels to move around and used a small electric pump to push oil through the filer (much faster than gravity). I'll get a video up soon. Save your leftover oil because that stuff burns! Look at some oil candle videos for one idea. But DON"T dump the leftovers!
I get waste veggy oil from local restaurant. If you want to make it cheaper, just leave off the fill tube in front and dump all oil in the top. I made the frame for this from old scrap plywood and the sides are scrap paneling. If you dump oil in the top let set for several days when warm or longer when cold. Tilt top barrel up in back then lower it down right before you drain oil through filter. Bigger drums allow you to process quicker, most times you can get empty drums cheap or free.

when old man diesel invented his engine, he built it to run on peanut oil. For a long time fossil fuel was cheaper than peanut oil.

Keep it simple stupid. This is an over engineered system.

what would be the best way to make biodiesel in one 300 gallon tank for mobility?
circusboy90210 2 years ago
once you get a full tank of the bad stuff do you just take to hazardous waste?
definca 2 years ago
@definca No, you go dump it in a restaurant's waste oil barrel.

That's awesome. I use barrels in a vertical set up but if I were to do it all over again, I would go with this horizontal barrel set up. Thumbs ups!!
