The only reason Eminem had some albums that weren't that great was because he was at a good place in life. We love Eminem because he makes music that we can relate to because life is fucking shit and hearing music helps cope with problems. Eminem had to feel pain to make us happy. I'm glad the old Em is back. The one who always spoke truth, showed emotions, & never was scared to share his struggle with anyone through his music. I wish old school Hip-Hop was back. Hes talking about his rap career. I think he was about 25 years old when he released The Slim Shady LP, "25 to life" he also says "i told you would be sorry if i left" meaning hiphop was dieing. When he says you neglected me hes talking about most people when they name top 5 rappers he is always left off the list knowing without him hiphop will die. "Go marry someone else and make them famous" should be the key line to let you know that this is about his rap career.

The lyric means that Eminem has done much for Hip-Hop to gain the status he has now, just like the rappers of the previous age. But nowadays artists of the genre can just make one crappy and pointless song to become famous and successful. The soul and art of music is deteriorating since the music industry (especially hip-hop) only wants artists that have potential of making a lot of money from selling their music rather than to pursue the art.
