  • Damn man i love stangs but it seems like you spent wayyy to much money on that project, i have an 03 mach one that i swapped a 03 cobra motor into ported the blower added more fuel a tune pulley swap...at 15 psi made 523 rwhp.... not as much torque but it also revs happy to 7k and i havnt even touched the internals yet...not hating cuz you got a sweet setup just saying if you went a diff direction you couldve saved money

  • you should get rid of that turbo and put a roots type blower on that thing. i have a lightning and am pulling 15.27 psi 408hp and 527ft lbs. thats with crank pulley and small blower pulley on stock blower. whippel makes a great product.

  • oh, and nice car dude, i have an 02 gt and an 88 maro been slowly workin on both and i enjoy every minute of it. whether its a stang, a chevy or an import, we all got the bug and its a good thing..I myself prefer american but i cant hate a person's drive for the famous HP.   • after the 2nd rebuild I woulda went with a DOHC/ terminator cobra engine. Even a teksid 4.6 DOHC is reliable. I had a t70 on my sotck engine 96' cobra for 5 years of pretty much daily driving, I finally just had something happen to the valve's/timing chain.

  • IM LOVIN THE FOXBODY! your car is sick. im between building a 4.6 aluminator with KB or going with a 351W stroked to a 392 pushing well over 500 horses. a tremec t600 and currie 9 inch rear with fidanza and centerforce clutch throw out bearing and flywheel. 4.11 gears BBK shorty headers to clear the steering and either a super victor intake with dual throttle bodies or a holley ultra double pumper carb. most likely the 392 will happen but that aluminator is so lightweight. and charged.

  • 5.1 STROKER CHOST IGH PERFORMANCE.. BUT I HAD A FEW BAD LUCK THINGS GO ON.. AND HAD TO REBUILD THE MTOR LIKE 3 TIMES.. I RAN LEAN THEN HAD TO GET A MONSTER FUEL SYSTEM.. THEN TIMING CHAINS WERE RUBBIN HAD TO REBUILD AGAIN.. THEN I OVERHEATED AND HAD TO REBUILD AGAIN!!!!!! I KNOW NIGHTMERE RIGHT.. AND IT SAYS 5.1 310 CUBES BUT ITS REALLY A 298 AND I HAD MINE BORED OVER WHEN I DID THE REBUILDS SO NOW ITS LIKE A 306 OR SOME SHIT IM NOT TO SURE.. THIS TIME AROUND I WENT WITH DIAMOND PISTONS

  • @makaveli828 You should of just put a 03/04 terminator motor in. You already had a transmittion, clutch, axle rear end. You would get the same power from a DOHC 32 valve 4.6 supercharged than SOHC 5.1 stroker. I got a 98 cobra and i kick myself in the nuts for not buying a terminator when I had the chance. But I love my 98 and Im just going to convert it into a terminator except for the body. I like the SN-95FOX bodies.

    Seriously though, you'd better off just buying a 03/04 than swapping in the engine. Too much wiring and plumbing to swap in with the engine.

  • @powerviking Not really They are almost Identitcal motors except the terminator has C heads and The 98 has B heads with different cams,04 has a forged rods.But its not hard at all to do.Its actually would be better to rebuild my engine with forged rods and pistons and just put C heads in and a whipple supercharger.Then I would still have a more beefy cam and a lighter block. The iron blocks on the terminators arent as good as the 98 teksids.I think I would smoke a terminator after the rebuild.

  • Yo bro did you remember to program the computer so it can run correctly with a manual trans?!..I did a trans conversion on a civic once. built the hell out of it, but didnt touch the computer, BIG MISTAKE!. my ignition timing, fuel map etc, was for park/neutral mode, so i blew a motor that way, learned my lesson, it was years ago tho..great mustang and build!

  • @550HPGTO its running great now.. with the stroker u get alot more trq and it builds up to speed real fast but i dont think storkers rev as high im turbocharged and i make max power at 5300 rpm if you want less trq and want to rev to 6500 or more rpm's just go with a forged 4.6 non stroker... but non of the time i had to rebuild were because of to much power justt dumb shit.. i think its better tho high rpm kills motors so if u cam make the same horsepower at a lower rpm and more trq its a win

  • @bradenn i did all corba svt emblems all the waya round and not over kill the same way it would have came stock emblems.. i did a shit load more work since this video too its maken 700 to the tires now new turbo new fuel system new intake and alot of other new shit

  • @lazaress1 thank you man. yeah i did alot more shit sine this video i had a melt down because i overheated had to redo it al lover nightmere status man. got a turbo thats 10 times the price of my old one intake upwer lower controll arms trq box reinformnets upper and power aeromotive fuel system front to back sumped tank and a bunch of other shit once u get in so far you cant turn back no one is gona care that u droped 40 or 50 k in to a 98 STANG so its best to enjoy it for many years

  • @lazaress1 i just gota get those garbage tail lights sprayed dark red im picking the car up tmr like i said it was melted cause i overheated on a bridge at the toll in traffic cause the water pump failed and it was new to a water pump just caost me another 5k it never ends man.. but now i have custom made diamond pistons best u can buy for a car like this im running 8.2 compression when i pick it up tmr i gota do a good 500 mile break in then im gona bring it back for the real deal tune

  • @lazaress1 im gona max out the pump gas just to be safe il run like 680 to the wheels for the streets thats even a little to much but greed = fail i learned this the hard way so instead of trying to make 900 hp im gona do like a 680 ish on like 20 psi  because its a 2v motor so thats not bad

  • @CEEPMDEE double that PRICE and thats what i spent but 14k was in 3 melps downs ran lean then got a racing fuel system fron to back then timing chains rubed motor whiped out again mad g's to fix that then a over heat now has diamond pistons and bored to a 5.2 nothing but haert ache and pain but im getting her back in a few days and the reason for now a new car is new mustang dont run 10 sec 1/4 miles then i would have to spend a furtune again this car is close to mint condition wise

  • @mustanggt1996rules alot of hard work sweat and tears not to mention i had 4 back luck steaks with motors first time stock block cracked a piston i expected that then the built stroker you see here melted because i ran lean had to rebuild and get full race fuel system then those guys put the timing chains on fucked up they rubbed and the shavings whiped out that motor then i just had it redone again and i overheated on a bridge and melted my pistons again because of a fucking water pump

  • @mustanggt1996rules long story short with blowups and bad luck i would say at least 14k down the drain on parts and labor not to show for. and the other 30k that went in that i do have to show for its being done nowwith diamond pistons there custom maken them for me because i have forged cheavy rods in my 5.1stroker kit why i have no idea so only probe pistons or custom to match will work now i would lay down around 700 to the wheels 10sec street car if it fucks up again i will bedone

  • @mustanggt1996rules yeah so do your self a favor if your stock or close to stock the 96 to 98 heads suck but p i heads will give u to big of a compression jump so if you dont have the money for a built bottom end you can get a used 99 4.6 pi motor for cheap toss that in and instead of turbo l like i went its more power but its a nightmere to install

  • i see it on a dyno and you didnt break it in or tune it (correctly) i drive an 06 GTO with a supercharger and full exhuast and i dynoed out at a tuch under 600hp with only 7psi and 91 octain so something isnt right with that thing but i see all the parts are thier to make it right and i cant wait to see a vid off it dont properly

  • because for fuel system i fucked up.. i only had 2 pumps one in the tank and a inline vortec 255 pump and 42lb injectors... the 98 gt didint have the regulater that u can change fuel presure so i ran lean and melted 4 pistons on the brand new motor.. now i have a full front to back racing fuel system intake trick flow fuel rails braded fuel lines 8 feed 6 reutrn 65 lb injectors now and a few toher things i gota put the whole car backtogther now i will be back on the road in 10 to 14 days

  • I had an 03 but now I've got an 01 GT with a 5.1 stroker... I was only over there a couple times, the guys are cool over there. Check out my videos, I've got a couple of my Cobra getting dynoed there and my new GT.

  • How about you just get a REAL cobra and stop trying to make the GT into something much better than itself? On a Cobra, you can get more power and spend less money. Don't get me wrong I love this project and I think the ride is badass, MINUS the cobra markings. When I see GT's with snakes on them I laugh. It's NOT a cobra! Thats like those idiots who put skyline body kits on accords. If you ask me, keep the GT labels and whoever you race won't expect an ass raping lol.

  • ok dipshit, that's why a cobra with no more than an exhaust, pulley upgrade, and good tune puts out 600hp. Meanwhile, this guy had to rebuild his entire car, buying an engine, transmission, etc. And he still got his ass handed to him. He's in astoria NY! He raced my friends cobra with this piece of shit and blew his engine trying to keep up lol.'03- '04 Cobras come supercharged with forged engines, and the pulley to increase boost is all of like 100 bucks or so. Cobras are far more reliable.

  • @Eclipse1988 You didnt mention termi motor. You just said "cobra". Which implys a 4v. Though termi motors come for about 5k at the minimum. Building them is outraguously expensive. Cam kits costing over 1000. Also on the stock eaton your only gonna get out about 550. Heatons are a bitch

  • thanks man ito be honest a setup l;ike this is not a everyday car its a summer / weekend car to much gas and to much power for every day use but when i do drive it i beat the shit out of it its what i bulit it for and it holds together strong.. this didnt happend over night tons of blood sweat tears and money and i got the car in 05 didnt start modded to like 07 now its 09 so in 2 year i pretty much went nuts with the car alot of stress alot of bull shit money but its worth it now wooooooo

  • yeah coast high perforamance there number is 310 - 784 - 1010 but your talking 27 lbs of boost on a V8? thats alil off the wall man matter of fact thats alot off the wall your gona need the sickest fuel system to do even 17 18 psi like serious huge fuel pumps braded lines and tons of fuel presure a s/c with high boost the belt most likey gona slip unless u get the blower with the teeth on the belt

  • these blocks are alot of money.. (coast high performance) hooked it up they sell the 4.6 forged blocks but for around the same price like maybe 200 more u get the 5.1 and the 5.1 by it self will make so much more trq then the 4.6 so go with there 5.1 they have it for a great price u cant go wrong.. i had themn put pistons for 8.2 compression for my turbo if u dont have the money to go turbo or blower have them make it super high compression and you can get 500 tor more HP all motor
