Got an i5 2500K but my stupid H67 chipset limits the turbo boost frequency to 3.5GHz. while a friend of mine gets 3.7GHz.

Anyone know how long turboboost can typically stay going for? Intel will only say it depends on basically the cooling. All I want to know is a ballpark figure... does it typically stay going 10 minutes or 10 hours? I want to do some video encoding which is very CPU intensive on a computer with turboboost and if it kicks out after 10 minutes typically I need to look elsewhere. If it can typically turbo for an hour+ I'll be fine. Thanks

It doesn't have that turbo boost thing but its okay, because i am using it, and when i open a lot of windows, it doesn't crash or slow down like my old PC with pentium something(forgot number).

AND i am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with Aero....

Intel turbo boost program works like shit on a HP Pavilion dv7-4195ed with a integrated soundcard! Delete the whole Intel/MSI Turbo tool, and your laptop works great, and have a beautiful sound.
