I was really down and depressed today about still being single at the age of 27 until I watched this, it gave me memories of when I was studying at university feeling under pressure to do well in my exams coming from a very poor family I was hungry, this speech at the time gave me to motivation needed to achieve a good in my degree and manage to get a well-paid job in a competetive market , I now own a car I'm in great shape for my age and people think I'm 23 all because of this powerfull speech
One of best if not the best motivational speeches ever in a movie. I teach management classes to college students and this is the first thing I show them in class.

I agree this movie was suprisingly great when I first heard it was coming out I thought oh crap another one but it is by far the second best in the series and actually close to the best.

broke, got fined $2000 by the cops for drunk driving (that's what you do when you're depressed I guess). then my dad died. he was a great guy, very tough and wise, just like Rocky, but the guy who'd never touched the bottle since i was born suddenly turned into a homeless bum and drank himself to death.
saying all that, I can still be positive, cos like the man says' life will beat you down, if you let it' the key point being- if YOU let it.
I would have liked that my dad could told me this before he died
