  • gooooddddd!!!

  • Very nice

  • And you really got your mobius working? mine its just a glitchy mutha....

  • the other synth guy isn't doing anything really...

  • Very sick I can definitely relate to the looping and improvisation to my acoustic guitar style and looper pedal that i use.. Just started using the pedal today and i have some videos uploaded If any one would like to check it out it would be appreciated.

  • you can't call your band 'loop lab' dude. where's the soul?

  • whats the effect at 2:30 that makes the drum track sound like a tabla?!?

  • You've gotta be kidding me. Six minutes of this and you can only come up with ONE foundation pattern to jam off of? Six minutes of the same pattern over and over -- why are all the looping artists showing the same lack of creativity?

  • im a member looplabs and i thought i make good music man you guys are hecka good

  • hello..can you tell me what kind of drum pad you are using?? thanks....i dig y'alls music!

  • I did some stuff very like this back in 1990,

It's an interesting technique. Used a couple of Zyklus's MPS's and a CDP midi grid on 2 Atari's feeding back into each other. Ended up soundin' like a one man orchestra..Only problem is when you get the Retrigger on loop length wrong and then it all turns into sub-Ollie Knussen noise.

    Good post.

  • bit bland for my taste but still real good!

  • Wow so you buy 1000s of dollar of stuff

and you us it to make nosie

what the hell you can do better then that

  • If i buy a microkorg and hold one note and pitch bend it every once in a while can I be in your band too? Come on man.. DO SOMETHING!

  • Actually if you go to concerts and pay attention you'll see that happening lot with many instruments :)

  • keep watching you once in a while, inspires me to get to work !

    saludos amigos !

    mexico

  • Man... I've watched this video so many times over the past year... I've got Ableton Live 7. All I need is one of those drum pads...

  • fuck i want that korg...

  • tear it up. god, i love live looping music and artists... awesome.

  • wow thats great! Love the style :D

  • Do u guys use foot pedals to set the loops btw u guys r great

  • jamman, right?

  • from what i know most pros use the gibson echoplex

  • nevermind.. just read the video description :P

  • WHAT ABOUT THE BASS AND GUITAR?

  • Exellent to watch !

    nice pro musicians

  • especially the dude on the little keyboard!!!

  • you have to be really, really, really smart to be able to understand how to do all that.. pretty cool

  • very cool, are you sure you don't want to be a trio? hehe

  • This is really really tight. What is the box with all the nobs. I've been looking fora good controller with just nobs and sliders for a while.

  • it's called an Evolution midi controller. Just a universal controller that can be assigned to anything. Works great as a simple control surface for mixing too...

  • UC-33 :)

  • nice work! what's your pc specs/software?

  • It's a complicated answer, basically Ableton Live 7 with VST's as instruments and effects, Mobius looper, a hardware echoplex and several Lexicon Jammans. Also several other things top hook it all up....tough to answer here in limited space....

  • Wow! Its awesome!

I wish I could have all of those controllers!

  • hey guys nice stuff we should have a live loop jammer some day!

  • Coo shit ^^ Keep it up!

  • nice work i like the sounds, but cant you play a real drum set? or at least an electric set? sounds cool though man, im not trying bring yiu down or nothin.

  • Thanks for the feedback, and good question. Setting live loops on an acoustic drum set is def possible, but there are all sorts of issues w/ mic bleed, latency, and recording vs live sound levels. Before using the drum pad, I did actually use a full elec kit, but had a harder time taking it around to gigs as it was more setup for the same sounds. If I loose the Rhodes, We can fly to gigs with a carry on, so touring is much easier now.

  • Excelent, good work. A question, what is the model of the e-drums pad?

  • looks like a Roland SDPS 20. not sure though.

  • Nice work guys. What effects are you using on your drums?

  • mostly using VST plugs for delay, beat repeat, and some time shifting / beat slicers, reverb, and a filter for the sweeps....

  • Thanks do you have more music? I use Live also I have my template all setup to do this in a live situation. I am just not sure which plugins and effect to use. I was using sends but kind of think I like adding effects to each channel instead. If you have any tips on how you do a basic setup and what vst's you use I would greatly appreciate it.

  • Nice stuff. My roommate and I used to do live sets from midnight to 2 at our house a year back. There's nothing like it. You guys gotta come down to Tucson, AZ if you get the chance.

  • Thats really cool!

  • Very nice. You coming to Chicago anytime soon?

  • that is what im talking about! I am working on getting my setup more mobile so I can start gigging. Like you guys, I'm all about improv. I would love to twist knobs with you anytime. =)

  • very cool - can we see some more?
