Actually TheRoyalcrime, from my personal experiences with both psychedelics, your point is wrong. This is because shrooms give you less intense visuals, but in return your mind gets completely FUCKED. On LSD, there are stronger visuals but you still have a clearer grip on reality than with shrooms. In other words, LSD is easier to handle than shrooms because shrooms make you lose your grip on reality.

Oddly enough, CCR did the song to take a piss at the critics who dismissed them as a singles band. John Fogerty didn't even like marijuana much, and had a winking disdain for hippy culture. People are debating the accuracy of this particular "trip". I suppose they have experienced more seemless visions of shifting colorful shapes. I guess it depends on the viewers attention span. Forget the dope though, watch this when you're half asleep with a 42 inch LED in the bedroom.

It's not so much the visuals. I think it's the music in this video that nails the feeling and progression of an LSD experience... like how the first minute and a half or so is really light and enjoyable, and then at about 1:47 the feeling becomes very heavy: very comparable to the moment LSD/mushrooms hit you, and you realize you're really fucked up and things are about to get intense! At this point you can't really do anything but enjoy the trip and ride it out! HAHA!
