I couldn't agree more. Lets think about this for a minute. The new SS is $37K and up. The new Z28 commin out with 550hp and I would guess in gonna be high 40s. Whats is the advantage of an LS7? And another thing did GM forget this is supposed to be the poor mans corvette? At 40K you might as well buy a C6 corvette.
Who the fuck wants a ls7 inside a car that is barely working with what it has? I'd rather just buy a corvette at that point because with the current styling you might as well with the price I can bet it will cost. It's definitely not worth the extra hundred hp IMO although I know it will make someone happy.
Well although that may be true it will never have the stamina, quality, or weight of that block and the lightweight build of it really makes that 14,000 dollars for a complete ls7 crate motor worth it :/

Corvette motors in 4 seater cars at low price :) You cant beat a car that only costs 25 grand brand new, has the same amount of horsepower and torque as a corvette whether it be a z06 or zr1. And it has a 6 speed transmission that you can run at extremely low RPMs anywhere for good economy and it has that certain leap when you really wanna gas it. If you can beat it you deserve a medal. 29 MPG with 500+ hp under the hood oh yes :)

The ZL1 was an aluminum block 427 cid engine hence the LS7 being a modern ZL1. What you want doesn't matter, I was only referring to what the real ZL1 was and how the LS7 would fit that role. The Z28 was originally the small block 290hp V8 (actually hp was higher than quoted common practice), with a lighter weight and handling package it was the track racing car. The SS and ZL1 were actually better at drag racing than track racing.
