As an Irishman, I was taken aback by the positive crowd reaction for the Irish figure dancers. The Yanks (Americans) loved them! Me and my mates were pleasantly surprised :-)

@Beantheredonedat Boston has many ancestral ties back to Ireland, especially South Boston (or "Southie"). Plus, it's unique - you don't usually see dancers in a pregame concert.

Careful how you use the term "Yank" though - Anywhere else, it wouldn't matter, but in Fenway Park "Yankee" is a dirty word. It's the name of the Boston Red Sox rivals, the New York Yankees. You don't want to be calling someone a Yankee in Fenway Park unless they're wearing the New York pinstripes already.

OMG! I love it!!! A shaky hand is better than nothing? LoL Wish I could have been there for this one! I got to see them win game 6 at the Tropicana in 2008 against the Rays. Made my day! Go Red Sox in 2009. Yes, I already have my tickets for the 4 game's here aginst the Rays starting April 30, 2009. Can't wait to see them here. New England first always in my heart even though I now live in FL. 0:-)
