2. In the 2000 Camp David Accords, Arafat was offered 100% Palestinian control of Gaza and 95% control of the West Bank, including a capital in East Jerusalem. He refused, because he saw it as more of a take it or leave it deal.

As for Camp David, Arafat actually did not accept it, mainly due to the "right of return" issue which I can also argue against if you want me to. As for Arafat's death, he led an intifada against Israel, I don't even know if he was a peace maker or a terrorist. Many people wished that he would have died before hand.
