my ipad used to be jailbroken at 3.2.1 teathered and it died. sice it was tethered, it got all messed up so i had to restore it and in doing that, it deleted the jailbreak and everything else on it. i reinstalled cydia and the jailbreak at 4.3.5 and the 3.2.1 shsh was not saved! is there any other way to downgrade my device?

One way I've found to get around having to constantly restore and resync.

This has worked for me on my iPhone 4. No negative side-effects yet.

You will need Pkgbackup. Yes, buy the software. No, it's not too expensive.

Before you do anything sync!

1. Re-run the Redsn0w app over your current redsnow'ed iOS device. I had mine untethered with the b5 version.

2. Have it install Cydia AND untether.

3. Let the magic happen.

4. After reboot check and update Cydia. Run Pkgbkup and reboot. Viola!
