im sorry but this race is not accurate. a 1.8t GT3076r with fully built internals and big cams is EASILY pushing over 350-400, it wouldve spanked the honda.The jetta is clearly not going hard just for the honda to win

Comming from a VW guy hear. Been building both Honda's, and VW's for some time now. You just cannot compare the two of them. Aftermarket support for VW's just isn't that great. Not the best chassis either, to build a drag or a circuit car. I do love my VW's for daily cruising, and what not, but not drag racing or trying to produce big number on a budget.

Why only 24PSI ? If car has big cams , it would rape not only that poor civic, but moch more powered cars.

I'm running 33 PSI on AEB with stock cams on 100 oct. gas. and it's really scary...

the jetta's driver is a total idiot.... with a GT3071R he would rape the civic no problem, I run a GT2871R at 24 pounds and I rape turbo civics everytime. At the begining of the pull you can see the Jetta has the balls but the driver takes 2 days and a jerk off to shift, we all saw that.

i would say this gotta do wit weight i respect both cars but a hatch is very light compared to a jetta

yea the jetta would mop that shit up.. lolz im only running a ko4 on mine and im making 280 to the wheels. dont get me wrong a honda boosted is fast but a jetta with a gt30 would make over 400hp easy on 24 psi. im almost making 300 on a shitty ko4 with only 17 psi and i could run it at 22 just saying.

dam gud shit and yea guys its easy tho shit my del sol wid a d16z6 was dead even wid a mk4 jetta 1.8 he culdnt pull from me if his life depended onit and all i got is a intake exhaust carbon hood short shifter and lowering springd that it lol and i raced a mk4 gti 1.8 that was chipped and exhaust and he only beat me by like 3 cars lol not bad for a lil single cam del sol huh :)
