bro that is amazing i actually went threw the same weight change, i weighed 240 and im now at 175 with a 24% body fat and i dont look as slim as you im only like 5,6" i was wondering how tall are you, and do you know your body fat? please .. thanks bro and keep up the excellent work
@LuhuDe a treadmill is great, thats how i lost the bulk of my weight. i ran for probably 3-4 miles a day and lifted weights every day or every other day. you need to clean up your diet too though eat well, look up good foods and stick with them
what body type are you. at your 240lbs we have same body frame. but i cant tell what my body type is. Now that you have shredded 65lbs you look like an ectomorph. long torso, long arms, long torso
@2uneek you cant change your bodytype it has to do with the development of your 3 germ layers aka ectoderm, endoderm, mesoderm. what ever one develops first determines your bodytype. if your ectoderm is first then you will be mainly ectomorph. no one is completely one or the other, for me im mainly mesomorph because i have always been naturally muscular. although i was overweight, i chose to be that way for football. i can lose or gain weight fast. you are probably a mix like me, endo+meso
@gibbyboy66 Its really hard for me to till, I was always skinny through my toddler to teenage years. When i was in highschool i was really skinny and not much muscle on my chest.. i was about 150lbs, 5'11. i played basketball for my school then after i graduated schoo i worked at a desk job. i had no activities what so ever and just ate junk and fastfood for the past 6 years. I got up to 220lbs which is my highest. im currently 215lbs and been attending the gym and eliminating all the junk food.
@2uneek yea you can be a skinny endomorph growing up. this is due to your activity level and high metabolism. when you stopped exercising and kept eating bad thats why you gained weight. you can do some research about it though just type "somatotypes" into google and you should be able to find all the info you need. glad to hear youre in the gym and developing healthy habits!
Awesome job dude, hoping I can make the same kind of transition... I have a vid on here but its a little poor- i'm just on day 5 of a CKD now, hopefully it willl help me get in as good a shape as you!
Your description describes me totally about genetic potential ;), I have the same feeling lol.
Hey man great video and congrats on the weight loss its very good to see these videos very inspiring, also could you tell me what your main meal plan was for losing this weight?
@7magick7 do some research about low carb diets. thats what im using right now to lose the last bit of fat. ive lost about 5-8 more lbs since i made this vid from using it.
@spookyyeah yes i found cardio very useful. i couldnt have done it without cardio. you should run as long as you can, anywhere from 15-45 minutes. when i first started i could only do 15 minutes but i eventually got up to 55 minutes. once you get past 45 minutes you need to increase the speed/intensity.
@gibbyboy66 Good insperation bro... now im motivated to go running again lol I have a question, i used to run a mile every day then from there i went to two miles mostly every day but im not sure what was my time on it, but i saw you comment on running up to 55 minutes and my question was does it matter how much time your running/jogging or how many miles you can go for?
@XralphiX time is better than distance, you should shoot for at least 30 minutes a day, then work up 5 more minutes every week or 2 weeks until you get to 45-50 minutes. when you get there start over at a higher speed, like .5 mph more. the longer you are sweating, the more fat/calories you are going to burn. the only way to do less time and still burn as much is using a jog/run combo or walk/sprint combo. i find going constant for longer periods a lot easier and easier to stick with though.
I have just one question. Did you have any special diet? If so, could you more or less give a brief guide on what you changed in your meals. Just thought of telling a friend, think this video might be a good turning point in his life. :)
@helloiliketomoveit the key with diet is to NOT cheat. the best diet i have found is a low carb, high fat high protein diet. this forces your body to use fats as energy, and since fat isnt the easiest form of energy to get your body actually burns calories (and fat) by converting the fat you are taking in into energy needed for exercise. the best thing your friend can do is to start exercising. diet alone wont do much. if you want more info you can google low carb diets or message me.
@helloiliketomoveit thanks man! my main goal is to inspire others to do what did. i know how hard it is when you start out but it is worth it once you finally get to where you wanna be.
just work on your traps, and your chest, your lucky though cuz u had the perfect frame, all you needed to do is work a bit to show it, nice arms though bro, whats your bf% now?
@brraatt thanks for the advice. im working on my delts right now, then ill focus on traps. i find that when i do shoulders my traps take a lot of the work from them so im trying to make the shoulders do everything. with my chest i think i just need to work on inner and lower pecs the most? im not sure. ive got decent mass i just need to chisel to perfection now. im not sure what my bf is now though, ive never got it tested.
man oh man, you have sooooo miuch mass, your arms are also one of your strong points im guessing too along with your back, alot of guys wish they could have erectors as big as yours. imagine after 5 years bro,how deesed you would be, and i can see those abs coming trough, keep it up man, i love this life style and theres nothing else id rather do.
you have to work on your chest for real
