Where in Oregon was that filmed? The beach looks like Cannon Beach or Cape Lookout State Park? I've lived in Oregon all my life. For a film like this, you'd get a a more consistent gray without rain effect in Corvallis, perhaps. More inland. Filming directly on the coast, you'd get more rain with the clouds. I now live in Klamath Falls, the most sunny town in Oregon, East of the Cascades. I like life without rain, but the SNOW! I don't know which is worse ... liquid or solid water. LOL!

You can tell they weren't used to the Oregon weather, cause they had umbrella's! Us Oregonians don't own umbrella's! I LOVE this movie and the books, and I'm kicking myself that I didn't know they were literally a couple miles away filming this before I even knew about it (now they aren't coming back...:( I love seeing all the Oregon stuff in the movie!

They could have filmed where I live in California because its mostly cloudly and it rains in winter..it would have been perfect. Plus we do have a lot of forests in California that may have worked. Also if they needed snow then they just have to keep going North in California, they'll get plenty of that lol. It probably would have been cheaper for them too since they filmed in L.A. some and there's less traveling that way.
