  • Thank you again for bringing this up. I've actually gone around and collected info from the doctors/pharmacies we've used and I'm shocked at just how much we spent. When you are paying per visit it's easy to forget amounts. My husband also thanks you because that gives us an awesome medical deduction for year, lol.

  • Any updates?

  • @MrsStacieAllen Will vlog today or Sat/Sun :).

  • I had no idea IVF would be on the list! Thanks so much, I am going to go through my bills and get them ready for HR Block. This was very helpful, Renae=thanks soooo very much.

  • @TheBabybound Yes, ma'am! You are welcome. xoxo

  • You are so organized! Thank you for this. I am going to pull all of our medical bills this year and talk to my accountant. <3

  • @kyleandjessP You are welcome. Thanks for sharing it on FB. <3 you. xoxo

  • Wow that is awesome thanks so much for this info. I'm going to get me a notebook right now

  • @Sarahm0130 Awesome- you won't regret it! You are welcome.

  • thanks so much!!! i am hoping that i can get my records from my clinc because i am horrible at keeping that stuff. this helped me out so much... i really appreciate it!

  • @mshaileyboo I'm not great either. Having a desk drawer to shove them in might work? Then just add them up at the end of the year. The key is keeping them for proof. Hopefully your clinic can print that out for you- just ask the receptionist :).

  • Fantastic Video- so informative

  • @jazztru1134 Thank you!

  • Thank you Renae! We are going to have to go through IVF to get our rainbow baby and this gives us some relief that we can actually get some of that money back next year.

  • @superfunlantztime This definately applies to you then. Document that mileage, pharmacy bills, hpts, doctor bills----anything you can think of. It will add up at the end of the year! FX for your IVF <3. xoxo

  • Awesome video! Thank you so much for this info.

  • @Tilly311 You are welcome!

  • Awesome video and great timing. Thank you. Two questions...when you refer to costs, is that always the out of pocket cost? For example, do I use my copay amount or the actual cost? Also, do you know where to find the % if you fall in a higher tax bracket? I'm really kicking myself now that the year is over and with as sick as Wren was, tube surgery, etc. gonna be on top of it this yr!! Thanks!

  • @SubfertileFrugalista a) out of pocket cost to you- including co-pays, monthly insurance premiums, non-covered but deductible services. b)...I'm working on finding out. :)

  • @SubfertileFrugalista I think they may have phased out the income cap. So, take your household AGI x 0.075 to get your threshold. Def talk to a CPA to verify. In 2013 I believe the threshold AGI increases to 10%.

  • Great video. Thanks for the info, very helpful.

  • @anniebedz927 You are welcome- thanks!

  • Sorry if this is a stupid question, taxes and my brain just don't mix well, usually we have never had any medical bills, but my ER visit was quite a few thousand after my loss, so when we file our taxes would I just bring the actual bills with me? I'm on my phone so the link won't work, but I will definitely check it out once I get on the computer for sure. Thanks for doing this video! I had no idea so many things could be tax deductible.

  • @ourTTCjourney Yes! Bring in the actual bills from the hospital/medical care provider. If it is easy enough for you, document the check number/bill pay/any type of documentation that it was paid on as well. I'm glad it was helpful!

  • thank you so much.

  • @hartrose33 You are welcome.
