Awesome, kick ass live version of this song! But, man, Derringer's suit is tight, not tight in the cool way, but tight literally. How in the hell does he breath and play guitar in that skin tight whatever-it-is.
I saw this live in the O'Keefe center Toronto. Edgar was walkin back and forth and really had the stage presence and showmanship. Excellent for so many reasons. They ended it with high powered strobes.. that left you blind for a minute or two. All the lights went out and WOW.. I was acid trippin' just blew my mind.. Thanks.. :))
This is an absoulutely timeless piece of music...Two of the greatest rock musicians ever would have to be Eddie Van Halen and Edgar Winter...Can you imagine the two of them playing together?
this one is better than the other, more popular version of this video...that other video is off with the audio and is unpleasant to watch, this one is perfect...watch this one!~!!
Powerful song! A lot going on. Structured chaos! I met Rick in the 80's, and Johnny shortly after, and Edgar last. I performed this song playing drums in a double drummer band about 20 years ago. Fun song!
@wyominglost Hah, I would think that sort of music had beginnings much much earlier. You're looking for Kraftwerk, Neu, Terry Riley, Tangerine Dream, etc.
Seen Edgar do this live back in the 70's,right at the climax, they blew every fuse in the concert hall! Total black out! Was trippin. Power came on and they picked it up where they left off! Was in Moscow Idaho at the college. His bro Johnny was there too! Was kick ass show!
I saw the man in Vegas in 2005 in a small venue. I was astonished. The man and the band are amazing! I couldnt quit staring at him or marveling and his incredible talent. If you get the chance, go see him live.
@kelroost thats the thing with these older seasoned cats......i hear ya...when i go see one of these legends I cant help but stare & just think....holy shit....there they are... :)
WOW that was some smoking hot stuff right there...!!!!! What a great bunch of musicians..!!!!! Edgar Winter was like Hendrix.. way before his time... It is a shame they don't have music like that anymore.. ;(
Great camera work!! Even toggled accurately during the 2 beat [per measure] percussion tradeoffs! You don;t see that kind of care taken in music DVDs where the camera is usually fixed on the drummer's foot on the high hat, while the keyboardist/guitarist is ripping a solo.

I can't believe Edgar wasn't shooting the camera and behind the mix board at the same time he was doing 5 instruments

I have a friend who says he likes rap because you can use a sax to play it. I told him that he should look up edgar winter. I won that battle.
