@e334r The Aztecs expanded their empire by conquering and enslaving neighboring tribes. So yes, Mexicans have owned plenty of slaves. If that's not bad enough, they cut out plenty of beating hearts in rituals of human sacrifice. My ancestors came over on one of the first few ships from England, and to the best of my knowledge, never owned a slave or killed an Indian, and for sure never tore out a beating heart.
