  • were did you get those?

  • im looking in to buying a few of these for long days at the airsoft fields

  • Anyone know a good place for me to get these for a good price.

  • Any one know a good

  • congrats on the weight loss!!!! You can tell major difference in your current videos and this one just from your hands good job :)

  • Damn I love these videos. :D

  • Excellent Info,,,,thanks for the video.!

  • Don't buy MRE's that say "U.S. Government Property." It's illegal, so if someone is willing to break the law selling government property, how can you trust the food their illegally selling? You can get the exact same military MRE's that are legal. Legal military MRE's do not say Government Property. Go to "MRE Depot . Com" and you can buy the real, legal, deal. I agree that military MRE's are best; better tasting and tons of calories more than Civilian MRE's.

  • Question, How long do they last?

  • @Rialto57 MRes last up to 5 years i think.

  • i like the military ones better because you can make ranger pudding with them.

  • Military MREs make my mouth water

  • I got 3 12 pack cases of MRE's from the 90's xD I also have 20 something MRE's that are not in the case from the 90's. I opened 2 of them up, and man did they smell absolutely horrible!

  • I just got two cases at my local military surplus store and I only paid $55 a box !!!

  • lol! ok guys in boot camp a guy took the water heater filld a botel with tbasco saws and throw it in the drill srg.s tent we got in soo much trubbel we wert allowd 2 have are heaters 4 the rest of boot camp. lol good times good times

  • sloppy joe MREs are delicious

  • How do you get hold of them if ur not in the military? just curious ;0),

  • @2hyped1 Ebay, amazon, or several online survival stores. Just google it, but sadly you will find find they are very expensive!

  • @2hyped1 EBAY you retard

  • @2hyped1 most camping/survival websies along with military surpluses will sell them. But they are expensive. Mostly around $7-10 for ONE. If you don't care about taste and you're saving them or you're cheap, survival bars by mainstay might be better for you.

  • You should make a video on these Meals that are made by WISE. I have a bunch of them. But saving them for natural disasters.

  • dateception

  • you gota field strip those bitches, the heater is pointless just extra weight when your humping it

  • I want one now.

  • some of those actually sound pretty good haha.

  • nice video. i see 18 people(dislikes) that will starve to death when the New World Order takes over

  • Military MRE has about 2,000 to 2,400 calories.

Military MRE of 1 to 3 per day (Warm sunny beach to high-mountain pass).

Civilian MRE has about 1,800 that I could count.

Civilian Daily Caloric Requirements may vary due to age of person, activity, elevation, latitude, climate season, etc.

Toddler to pre-teen 1 to 2 per day

Teen or Adult resting 2 to 3 per day

Teen or Adult vigorous work at high-altitude, winter, long range, 3 to 5 per day.

  • how come you buy alot of em do u just stock up?

  • @MathewBeastGranado Always good to stock up on emergency food.

  • i love mres the first ones i had i was given by a salvation army trucker who had a whole truck of them he gave me 6 of them and they were great the only one i didnt eat was the omelet as its supposed to be NASTY so when my mom cooked something i couldnt stand id eat a one so it was a great tool for my survival

  • Damn 240p, we meet again...

  • eat #14

  • 80 and below 5 years. manufactered tobe eatable for 100 years flaver and nutrishion will change after 3 years after 100years the bag wil deterate.

  • longlifefood varry cheap all ordersare free shipping. must buy at least $22 you will receve within 3 days

  • I liked the B menu better than A...

  • shit LOL!

i really thought they lasted 6000 years!

  • I like the vid was informitive but you dont know what temp the MRE's were stored at b4 you got them. thats a BIG deal to me. I have to know how long my food stash will last and if I dont know the temp it was stored at before I baught it? I wont buy it.. JKW

  • Perfect survival food for surviving zombie land.

  • Eat MRE's every day for a week and you'll need a turbo laxative.

    Just saying...

  • You can pretty much legally buy anything surplus from the military so this goof has no idea what the hell he is talking about, lol

Got to love YouTube weekend warriors/law experts, lol

  • i hate ppl that say MRE's suck u know its not mommas classic home cooking but that stuff is pretty bomb . also i hate ppl that say chow hall food sux

the chow hall is the best ahhahaha just throwing that out there

  • @sergeantjeremy totally agree with you and from the 2 chow halls i have eaten at the Marine Corps chow halls have better food from personal experiences

  • I reccomend the Website in the description ive been there.

  • WHERE DO YOU BU THESE OR SINGLE ONES ?

  • @tdade13 Google, or join the military. Your choice.

  • @Big5000K or a disaster like ike.....

  • You said that they are good for 3 years, as that from the inspection date or the packaged date? Also, as Capitalmindz pointed out, your video was published before your inspection date, so could it be possible that the inspection date is month/day instead of month/year?

  • I personally like menu #20!! delicious!!

  • Lekko is it realy

  • MENU 8 IS THE BEST MRE!!!!!!!!!!

  • did u realize that not all the mre's are the same like not from the same case ? just wondering

  • js but they do actually eat real cooked meals over seas.

  • Team America Fuck YEAH! :D

  • Comment removed

  • Holy shit, Look at the French Army combat rations!

In Canada we have the IMP 'Idividual Meal Pack' Same thing as MRE's but different packaging.

  • I've eaten some of these that are older than 8 years old - and they have been fine... climate conditions are mild (UK temps)...

  • "Commercial" is the key word; the gov't doesn't care about private sales. In that regard, there's no legal issue.

  • Your video upload date according to Youtube was Mar 2, 2010 but you inspection date on your MRE's was January 2011? What am I missing?

  • @capitalmindz that is the date your suposed to check too see if there still safe to eat

  • @capitalmindz mre's are inspected periodically over their shelf life. The next inspection for these meals is January of 2011, if they were still in circulation. After they are inspected, they are reboxed with a new date

  • @Kodiak40oz Got it. Thanks!

  • @capitalmindz I think it means January 11, 2010 instead of January 2011

  • @capitalmindz ... ur retarded... its 07/08/11... its jan 11 2010! its called common sence

  • @tylerwalker2 Listen to the video. Look at the comments. He very clearly states January 2011

  • @tylerwalker2 hahah...common sence

  • @capitalmindz Oh my god...

    HE'S A FUCKIN' TIME TRAVELER

  • Comment removed

  • @capitalmindz He's a fucking time traveler I tell you!!

  • @Jetgui22 LOL.

  • @capitalmindz @capitalmindz Inspection date is not when the package was last inspected but it says WHEN it will be needed to be inspected...

  • @capitalmindz The inspection date is the normal storage condition expiration date, NOT the date when it was manufactured. Can't believe I am explaining this, but the inspection date is when you INSPECT the MRE's by opening one up to check for freshness of the remaining meals.

  • @capitalmindz I think that means when they should be inspected.

  • @capitalmindz, Whatever the inspection date is, the meal was made 3 years prior. I just bought 4 cases with an 06/2014 date, yet today is 11/7/11.

  • @capitalmindz Time traveler.

  • Comment removed

  • @capitalmindz this guys from the future

  • @capitalmindz thats when to check if there ok to eat still

  • @capitalmindz i think the mreinspection date is when they take them out of stoage to check if they ae still good and edible? just a guess...

  • @capitalmindz its the date to trail one if it is still fine then the rest can be eaten. they shoud be tested yearly after that.

  • @capitalmindz That means that the box of MRE's is due for Inspection; three years after their creation.

  • Jump to 11:37

  • Cheese and vegetable omelet is my favorite.

  • how much did both boxs cost

  • Would you eat 3 of these a day? Or can anyone tell me how many/often you eat one.

  • on craiglist, there are 4 boxes for $50 a box of 12. would 4 boxes for $200 be a good deal? 3 boxes are opened but ALL packs are still closed. the packing dates are '06 and '07 w/ inspection dates being '10. the boxes are dusty and "colored" but not greasy per se (they were in the garage but never got cold I'm told. they were given to the seller by his army buddies. menus A and B. good deals or no?

  • My thoughts: read ingredients and be wary of food coloring and chemicals. Some have them, some don't. I have some that don't have too many chemicals in them. I prefer the civilian type because less storage space, & I can customize exactly what I want: military versions you pay for matches, cookies, other things you don't use. I heat them up in a toaster oven or under car hood. Hiking I eat cold. Good for lunch when working outside. Eat bread with cheese or peanut butter spread.mmmmmm.

  • Why would you need food to last for 10 years. what the hell are u planning for?

  • @jamster2400 u never no

  • has anyone actually had diarrhea from the gum? i have had many MRE's cuz i take them on bivis but never had the gum cuz i didnt wanna take the chance.

  • instructables(dot)com/id/DIY-MREsa-tutorial/

if anyone is interested you can make your MRE on the cheap with a comparable shelf life and can be made to your menu choice just put the link without the parenthesis

  • @ThaBassAddict actually, this is an ellipsis . . . this is a string of periods...

  • I loathe MRE's. I'd rather have fresh-cooked anything else.

  • mre's-meals rejected by ethiopians

  • jesus im a picky eater and all those sound good to me!!!!!

  • sorry if I wasn't paying attention but where did you buy the mres from

  • @buddycanifinish ebay or military surplus store

  • @buddycanifinish Y'know, you could just replay the video.

  • @FFBatleThemeKeeper yeah but its really long

  • @buddycanifinish well just skip to the point you need

  • @buddycanifinish you know it's a video clip right? you have the ability to return playback to the beginning of the clip. if you need help with this, stop using computers.

  • on tht website u can buy MRE meals from differents countreis

  • obsessed over MRE's or something?

  • how was it tested at 1/11 if this video came out in march of 2010

  • meal #3 beef ravioli nuff said

  • try the snack bread... tell me how it is please.

  • @ryandonian it feels smooth, it tastes like regular bread only its denser

  • @ryandonian the snack bread sucks in my opinion, could be worse I suppose.

  • my cousin is in the United States Marine Corps and at the trunk of his car theres a SHITLOAD of Boxes full of MREs

  • what about 366? 2008 was a leap year!

  • @Genoweaponspecialist where did you get them

  • Brilliant.

I would totally get some of these, stuff could happen...

Smart to have these around indeed.

  • where can i buy these online?

  • @silverbullet211 costco. At least here in Canada, should be in the US too.

  • Let me know how your mre does in the truck or car. I had some in my bob and they went bad in two months in my truck. I live in AR and it was in the fall, so it was kind of warm out. I thought I would die when I tried the brisket after it was in the truck for a month.

  • Hey has anyone tried strawberry banna dairyshake? i got a beef stew mre and it came with starwberry banna dairyshake powder.

  • @tomfan180 there was a recall on that specific shake...

  • @EscapistGaming well good thing i didnt drink it

  • people see the use of MREs as a far-fetched idea.....I find that disturbing

  • @SoldierCyfix ?????

  • I would not eat those (my opinion) because they where probably in storage for 10 years somewhere and are finally going to be sold. I would get them fresh at "The Ready Store".

  • @Norsegod127 Can you read? Those were made in 08 and have a 2011 inspection date

  • @aybesee123 yea i know but you can get others that will last you till 2020

  • @Norsegod127 You can not get military mre's that have an inspection date of 2020. The newest military mre out is a made in 2010 with inspection date of 2013. An inspection date is just that, when it needs to be inspected. In proper conditions an mre with a 2010 inspection date can last beyond 2020. The ready store does not have fresher mre, in fact they buy military and piece them out into homemade packs which lack value. Obviously this is how they profit.

  • @aybesee123 damn them, they lied then!

  • @aybesee123 I heard the average shelf life is five years, is that true? Appreciate a response.

  • Comment removed

  • @EddieCubillo It depends what temp you keep them at. If you have them in your closet you should be ok for 6-7 years. From date of manufacture to inspection date is 3 years. Usually you have 3 or 4 years after that. There is a small red sticker on each case that will change color due to a combination of environmental temperature and age. When the red turns to black the case is probably bad. If dealing with an older case the best thing to do is look for bulging packets and use your eyes & nose.

  • Enjoyed this review, Great job. Thanks for your time . Fred

  • Cheese omelet ...Haha ! worst thing i ever eat

  • @cutlerylover hey I see a lot of 1-12 and 13-24 they were manufactured on 12/12/08 and they are 100 bucks, good price?

  • @MrWahoodles At my surplus store, I can buy a MRE for $5. A case has 12 MREs. 12 x 5 = $60. Shipping is at least $10. So about $70 you'll be spending. Year and menu shouldn't be a factor in this pricing unless its prior to 2006. Civilian MREs are cheaper and okay, go with Menu C or Sopoko SurePak. Sopoko is the military's food maker and a SurePak is roughly the same and best value imo. Menu C is messed up military menus (lack certain items) that is priced at $80/case.

  • @ShadowKillah08 I couldn't find any Menu C ones recently :(.

  • @paulalex19 Found Menu C cases for sale. They are asking about $80 per case, I was close in my estimate. Here buddy, they got them in stock =) MREDEPOT

Again, Sopakco SurePaks I recommand despite a price increase, but still cheaper: The EPIC CENTER has them for best price plus you see the menus in the case.

  • @ShadowKillah08 Thanks :)

  • DO SOMETHING THEN!spread organic heirloom food seed far and wide, its called"johnny appleseed economics"or"gorrila gardens",spread more organic food. wake up everyone,do your part!?IF YOU ARE angry, get seed and make a organic revolution your way.SPREAD THE HEIRLOOM SEED EVERYWHERE TELL OTHERS! INCREASE THE FOOD SUPPLY RIGHT NOW WHILE WE GOT TIME!! GROW VERTICAL GARDENS IF YOU DONT HAVE THE SPACE! START NOW!

A PEOPLE IS ONLY AS STRONG AS ITS STOMACH!

tell 10 OTHER PEOPLE RIGHT NOW!

  • Yea it does say that on the box but no there is no law about resale of MREs

  • He has the best MRE vids and when he eats I want one, except the egg one...

  • Good thing you're your own C.O. and get to keep your deserts :-P

  • Don't buy from a surplus store or you might get old meals (That happened to me and I got food poisoning... I sued the bastards that ran the store)

  • @belmarfilms Did you win?

  • @USMCMedic95 Of course, I now own that store

  • @belmarfilms Win

  • Comment removed

  • how bout u just steal some from the army instead of paying 70 bucks

  • im in cadets and we get military rations and we trick newbies into eating the omlets

  • 17:19 minits for that? ohh you socks

  • @heettreet its not like I put a buig on your computer to freeze the screen, lol sorry to hear that happened though that sucks

  • @cutlerylover I think someone needs to experiment with ubuntu! ;')

  • @cutlerylover where did you get yours

  • @heettreet I dont think it was a bug more of a software issue it may be firefox or a codec problem I have that problem sometimes like not being able to get out of the screen or control the volume or to be able to fast forward the video when in full screen.

  • @heettreet I find it funny that you are threatening to stop watching hsi videos i dont think he cares

  • @heettreet your a hater

  • @heettreet dude he didn't do it, your a dick, ad's are on every video of every youtubers videos, your a douche and gtfo

  • where did you get yours

  • How much would 1 be?

  • @sasukeuchhia ranges around like 8 to 15 dollers

  • @ObamaLikesKFC only one reason fresh food spoils faster

  • @cutlerylover yeah if you leave it for ages the point is to eat it asap.

  • @testsubjectzz the point to buying MRE's is to have a food source that cna sit around for a long time in case of an emergency where you cant buy fresh food

  • @cutlerylover i'm sure you have a source of fresh food? No shopping market?

  • @testsubjectzz in a natural disaster? Or getting lost with your truck and have to camp out some where you have never been. Also with hiking these are great because you don't attract animals while you're hiking with the smell of food. Not to mention the high amount of calories needed for the more extensive hikes. It's a survival food not meant for everyday consumption.

  • @cutlerylover like zombie attack or other stuff? where did you buy them at

  • @testsubjectzz lol, no it's not. The point is to have a meal that tastes decent that is easy to prepare and lasts long.

  • @testsubjectzz think this way War starts you cant go to shop your food either spoils or gets eaten and what you eat then? you can live 3days with one mre

  • @ObamaLikesKFC MRE's are also good for camping/hiking trips, or when you go on vacations or trips and food supplies aren't guaranteed on the way.

  • buy them at gun shows u can find them around 40 a case

  • im still eating mine from 2005.

  • at my local military shop one is 120 dollars they told me it was a good deal my ass but 1 is 9.99

  • "after a long day at war" you have to force yourself to eat anything. It's not a goddamn state fare. MREs are bad if you eat them as food and not 'genuine real soldier gear'. Fortunately, the army tries to give the joes hot chow whenever possible. The moral would drop too low if forced to live off of MREs for very long. With the places you plan to stash your MREs you'd be better off getting mainstay or SOS bars. You'll save money and space. Or visit a recruiter for free MREs.
