@DJDOMINATE00 any good feedback from it??? i'm really working to get either one of these... but my concern is if the EFX 500 has the same echo EFX as the EFX 1000
Hey Mate, Great Setup, I've got a pair of Cdj400's with Djm400 :) And I just ordered The EFX1000, I was wondering How I would be able to hook them up properly? From The Masters Out? I havent seen the efx unit before So If you could give me an idea of what I should do, I'd really appreciate it.
It depends on your mixer....if your mixer has an effects in/out you can hook up the EFX through your mixer. If you, just hook the main outputs of your mixer to the EFX.
BRO QUICK TIP .. LOWER UR LEVELS U ARE GONNA GET AN AWFUL SOUND OR SIMPLY JUST RUIN UR SPEAKERS .. THE LEDs ARE NOT THE FOR SHOW AND FOR THEM TO LOOK PRETTY .. ITS FOR THE PROTECTION OF UR EQUIPMENT .. TAKE CARE .. U MADE A GOOD PURCHASE .. I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT MINE
well to be honest i use pretty much the same efx that the 500 has. Only thing is that the parameters go to 8/1 which means i can loop 2 bars. but other than that the 500 suits well. I personally put the 500 away in the original box and have been wanting to hook it back up but never have :(
there are many parameters that you can alter to get a different sound, also you can have like a "dual" effect by using an automatic and a manual simultaneously...to me i prefer the efx 500 and/or 1000 over any other sound processor :D
I'm not a DJ but i create music, but i really like "hands on" effects. I was thinking of getting a second KP3 but i might get this instead. you can see most of my gear on a couple of videos i uploaded here.
This would be your best bet. Most dj's use this, I personally use this when I want to add some hands on effect to tracks I am creating or want to remix, the possibilities are endless my friend...I got both the 500 and 1000, the 1000 kicks ass! Although the 500 is very neat as well!
hey is it better to use the EFX-500 than the ones that are on the djm-800? i have an 800 and i wanna know why many dj also have the efx-500.. and how is it hooked up?
i have the efx 500 and the one 1000, i got them working with the same mixer, ill make a video of it prolly later on today....
but i love the headphones man, they are solid, and they cover your ears completely, i did a gig on friday and had a big ass speaker that wasn't the booth banging close to my face, and i could still hear soo clearly and quietly in my headphones! i kept them on cuz the music was too loud...

Mrbrigante02 3 years ago
Hey man, you have to do a "EFX500 vs EFX1000" video to compare the two units, what are good/bad about them etc. keep it up!

Hi can the EFX 1000 work with thie American Audio CK-1000?
cangri77 3 years ago
It can, if you connect the out of the master into the rca IN of the efx 1000, and the rca OUT into your amplifier or sound system.
The send/return loop is a phono connection that works on more pricier mixer, but you can always use the rca in/out of the efx sound processors.

How do you like your headphones? Hah...sorry random question, but I was thinking of getting some of those. Have you used the RPDJs?
Nice mix, btw... I want one of these (why I'm watching the video =D).
Btw, the description says efx500, but I thought that was a 1000?
