dont get me wrong i LOVE battlefield. i have played the complete series including expansions...but we always knew that call of duty kicked its ass on SOLO game mode(since most of the battlefield series lacked it in the first place) and now we get this trailer just reminds me COD MW2 release trailer with eminem... i prefer the original Epic battlefield Tune (i hope they are keeping it as a last moment trailer tune)

@SnoweyMan111 I agree, but by realistic i think it's because of the pretty effects. These "pretty" effects make tracers, destruction, gunfire, hits, explosions and stuff like that seem realistic. Those effects are what ARMA lacks. ARMA is realistic in itself because of it's "simulation" style gameplay.

So I guess the question is: Realistic in what sense? Graphics, gameplay, matching up to next gen technology or real life combat.

@SnoweyMan111 Well like I said, depends on the persons interpretation or perspective of "realistic" gaming. To just summarise, BF3 can be "like life" because of its graphics. It looks realistic, as opposed to ARMA. Because I've played ARMA, I can say that the physics, destruction, effects, textures don't look realistic because it looks nothing like "life." BF3 graphics and engines resembles real life more than ARMA does, so NYT isn't too far off by saying BF3 is a realistic shooter.

Go look at the numerous weapon/explosion demo's people post here on youtube. That's real life. The only explosions that are big and fiery is tankers getting lit on fire and

C4. Oh and of cause most airburst artillery rounds are quite nice to look at.

But no. BF3 isn't realistic. NYT is retarded. Their reviewer has no game experience.

@Danny8849 Hey Danny.. The game I wanting is Batman Arkaham City the most, just a big fan of Batman and the last Batman game I loved it. You also have StarWars: The Old Republic which is going to be huge. Anyway, what I'm saying is I have a lot of games I haven't finished playing yet and want to finish them before I may or may not get BF3. I'll just have to see, BF3 does look awesome though, just I'm not a fan of using Origin.
