Listen to Atma if you havent already, Ill Bill, and Stoupe came out with a solo album called "the Decalouge" recently which - although not as conscious of lyrics as are found on Rip The Jacker - has blatantly Ill production [of course].
Rip the Jacker -- the whole album was spit accopella and dude from Jedi Mind Tricks built the beats while Canibus was off on military duty. Canibus heard the finished copy when he returned from deployment by buying it at Best Buy a week after it was released. It's definitely his best work...every song hits hard. This is the final track on the album. 6 years after its release I still listen to it regularly.

he has inclined lyrically not the other way around. everybody says this album is his best besides his most recent album for whom the beat tolls. every album he does he takes a step up because he broadens the topics he talks about. and clearly battling is not all hes good at beause if he was his albums would of reflected that. most mc's that battle cant make a good album but he can. stoupe did all the production because rip the jacker album was a Stoupe/Canibus collabo.

i didnt explain my opinion. PRODUCTION WISE this album is better than mic club and 2000 B.C. HANDS DOWN. i bought all three of those albums. 2000 B.C., mic club and rip the jacker. lyrically this album is better than 2000 B.C. cuz if you listen you'll hear the growth in his rhymes. Canibus went the extra mile in poet laureate 2. with more bars than 100 bars and much more complex but understandable metaphors. lyrically this album fits in the same class as mic club but the beats are better!!!
