Well, with all due respect, sex change operations only physically change body parts. They would not mentally change gender. Homosexuality is internal, it's not a body part you can operate on.
Sexuality is a scale. So some people who identified as gay at one point could later change their mind, because in reality they are not completely gay. Our society likes to categorize people as "gay" and "straight" for convenience though, and so that bigots can more easily demonize.
That is my point, people can and often succeed in remaking themselves into something else. it is so quintessentially American. We don't know exactly what makes a gay different from a straight, so there is always that possibility for change for some. I am no Coulter defender, but hey, if someone wants to try it, why demonize them for it?
They are demonized because they over-simplify, and they undermine the issue with religious implications. Saying "I was GAY, and then I PRAYED, and now I'm STRAIGHT" is offensive to gay people, because we are not all sitting in the middle of the scale of sexuality. We can't all just change who we have sex with every day. And it gives straight people the idea that gay people CHOOSE to be gay, which is absolutely wrong and ignorant. And, most of these people relapse.

The ONLYYYY thing i agree with is that there are some men who have circumstances where they become confused when they think that they are gay or even bi. It's not EVERY case, obviously. @REdude420 Ann Coulter's views on homosexuality *are* similar to HItler's. She wishes homosexuality did not exist, does not want homosexuals to enjoy the same rights as heterosexuals. Very much in line with the Third Reich's paragraph 175(a) law.
So the comparison is apt. Godwin's Law is not applicable when the comparison is apt, especially in response to Coulter's provocative and bizarre comment "We're just lucky Germany isn't re-arming again" in a discussion about gay rights.

The ONLYYYY thing i agree with is that there are some men who have circumstances where they become confused when they think that they are gay or even bi. It's not EVERY case, obviously. But I do agree with some circumstantial, naturally straight men who just need to realize that they really aren't gay. Kind of the situation when a gay man is trying to force himself straight. He just needs to realize that he isn't straight and that he IS in fact gay.

@mason72518 To play devil's advocate, I think she's getting at removing ALL sexuality from the military. Not just homosexuality. To get rid of ANY temptation. Women for straight men and other men for gay men. Now, lets look at the logistics and reality of the matter. The military prohibits sex when you are deployed because at that moment, you are property of the US. They consider it destruction of governmental property if you do that. She has... some points, but her overall views are messed up.

I've never tried, but I'm certain that some people who weren't born homosexual have later on come to engage in homosexual sex.
