  • ...............I like trains!

  • Taken from Splinter Cell: Conviction. Still, it fits well with the intentions of Cerberus in regards to Shepard.

  • ...my HAT!

    And thus Cerberus was doomed.

  • I actually think that the Illusive Man has been indoctrinated by the Reaper Implants in his eyes. You know what they say about one rotten apple spoiling the whole barrel. Also they might have rebuilt Kai Leng's knees with Reaper tech to make him more of a challenge for Shepard who fistfights with Yahg, Krogan and Harbinger for a dayjob.

  • @SinDawg030 Also it's been confirmed that he is.

  • @SinDawg030 Why would they need implants, when all one has to do is be in the presence of a reaper, or reaper artifact?

Using implants in the eyes would just stand out unnecessarily and draw attention to something that normally is completely unnoticable, thus spoiling it.

  • @Goatmon Not his choice. In one of the prequel comics (SPOILER ALERT) the Illusive Man ( just after the First Contact War before he became the Illusive Man) comes into contact with a Reaper artifact called the "Arca Monolith" that can turn humans and turians into husks. He wasn't around it long enough to turn into a husk but it made his eyes all glowy and that is why I think he is Indoctrinated. That and Cerberus awful track record in working with Reaper tech.

  • @SinDawg030 You do realize that only way to make a husk is impaling a body on one of the Dragon's Teeth right?

The cloud of nanobots only indoctrinate, they do not implant cybernetics.

  • @GeorgeMonet Paul Grayson became part Reaper mech when he got injected with Reaper nanobots that then grew new bits in his body. There were no Dragon's Teeth around in that mine on Aequitas, just a glowy Reaper device that kept on spamming husks. Saren didn't get impaled when Sovereign implanted those devices that allowed him to Assume Direct Control of his corpse. The Shanxi relic and Arca monolith on Palaven didn't need spikes either. The Reapers just use Dragon's Teeth en masse on civvies.

  • @SinDawg030 Everybody who comes in contact with Reaper tech will be indoctrinated eventually, that's what makes me slightly worried about the inhabitants of the Citadel...

  • @GortosXtreme I don't think so. Sovereign planned his attack on the Citadel for who knows how many hundreds of years when he realised that the Keepers weren't responding to his signal anymore. He had to work through intermediaries and pawns like Saren and the Geth. If there was a Reaper contingency system on the Citadel like say an Indoctrination field that could encompass the Citadel and its inhabitants then he would have used it. Doubtless, the Reapers will do just that if they win in ME3.

  • @SinDawg030 No, indoctrination usually is quite subtle, not an obedience switch. I think this might be true every time I see that Turian idiot say "Oh yes, Reapers...". We know that if the entire galaxy worked together, the Reapers could be defeated. Maybe for that not to happen, the citadel was built so its inhabitants wouldn't believe in the Reapers.

  • @GortosXtreme but just look at what happened to Kenson and everyone else who was working on the Project. They were all focused on blowing up the Alpha Relay in order to stop the Arrival yet they were all Indoctrinated simply by being in close proximity of an active Reaper device. Also the Cerberus troopers in Galaxy at War mode are planting things called "Indoctrination boosters" which you have to shut down. Sovereign's Indoctrination is described as a signal. The Citadel has no such device.

  • @SinDawg030 But think of the derelict Reaper - Cerberus was sure there was no active indoctrination tech, but it was there, driving them crazy. I imagine something much more subtle on the Citadel, kind of like a "don't-care-switch".

  • @GortosXtreme Nah the "not caring about your human colonies disappearing" attitude is just the Council being arrogant jackasses what with being the overlords of the Galaxy and all. Reapers don't need indoctrination to corrupt the leaders of the galaxy to indecision, that much power alone would do that to any politician. If the Reapers could alter people on the Citadel then they would have opened the Citadel. The Citadel is not the same sort of construct as a Reaper eg: no impossible geometry.

  • "shamelessly nicked", I see what you did there. I doubt many people will, but I did.

Even if you didn't intend it to be a reference, I got it.

  • That sounds a lot like the plot to The Quickening

  • lol StarCraft 2, btw.

  • That... that is actually a perfect description.

  • If there past record's any idication I bet Me3 will reveal that Project Lazarus was actually trying to make Shepard deader.

  • @Gunganbuster Their one success....it all makes sense now!

  • @Gunganbuster That doesnt make any sense explain

  • @gamemaker1234 I think he means the tried to destroy him more but since they're so bad at everything they ended up putting him back together.

  • @matjacks100 Thats stupid why would Ceberus do that he got spaced and like jacob said " when i saw you you were nothing but meat and tubes" plus when they find out what will Jacob and Miranda say

  • @gamemaker1234 He was just probably just making a joke, you know?

  • @Gunganbuster ME2/3 Shepard is a VI.
