It's one of the greatest crimes in indie rock history that these guys aren't revered as legends. I rocked the fuck out to this album and their others from when I was a 16 year-old kid to the present, at 33. Pretty sure it all started after catching this video on 120 minutes and realizing there was real magic to it.
It was a great two day shoot, the Saturday with everybody hanging in the basement and the backyard and then Sunday driving around town stealing shots. I have so many great memories of hanging in that house
From Danbury, Connecticut (my old home state) - the independent rock scene there was amazing in the 90's with many bands coming through there to play, especially the ones from North Carolina. Danbury was literally the second home to bands like Archers of Loaf and Picasso Trigger.
this record flew under everyone's radar that year. I had to read the NME to find out about these guys. This song still gives chills. "Lobsterhead" is just as splendid. Any demos available from this LP ?

Thank you for sharing the vid and your story. Unbelievable it's the only thing on youtube of such a great band. POWERFUL tune.
