God, Brad! Your song and pictures reduced me to tears. That's no scenic drive they're building...it's freakin huge! And in the middle of the deep woods! :( I had no idea this was what you folks were facing. I live in the Southern Appalachian Biosphere Reserve and the phrase "rape and pillage" would apply to what's going on here. Whole mountains and ridges are being timbered all through the region.
