That is 50mph...trust me! And did you notice how he wrote "missing the camera by two inches".....like he did that on purpose! ahHAhahhaha what a douche!!!!
No guys, though his form is not proper.. He makes contact near full extension and barely clears the net. That ball is moving at least 95 mph. 110 might be a bit of a stretch but still.
and by challenger series players, i mean someone who is ranked at least 800 or soin the world. someone who has in fact played very high level tennis and knows a wimpy 80mph from a good second serve speed of 100-110mph
also, notice how people always love to try to say how the serves in a youtube user's serving video are slower than they really are
like i said, only take advice from coaches and professional players who have competed in at least challenger series tournaments. they will always try to say "oh that serve looks more like 70-80mph" when in reality, its more like 100-105mph
So anyways "peepeedribble" get a life. Very clear from a username like that you have no intentions of saying anything respectful or intelligent. To the guy in the video: keep having fun playing tennis, hope you keep working on your serve. I was merely stating that your serve is about 80 to 90 mph. For now, try to use a continental grip and make contact with the ball at a higher point, and in time youll improve your serve.
actually, im 20 and ive played in 3 futures qualifiers, all of which i lost because they were the 3rd, 4th, 5th tournaments ive ever played in my life
i was not conditioned anywhere near the level of the better players there, and they truly deserved to win. next time when i return, i will actually practice more than 1.5 hours of physical training a week to more like 10 hours a week of physical training
i relied to much on my natural skill to hit down the line backhand winners and lost energy
good luck to you, it takes alot of time, years, and a ton of hard work. hopefully you will be able to improve your game alot and someday make a good showing at a futures. Play some open tournaments though, or especially whatever rating level for usta youre at. You gotta be able to play and win in close matches, and also execute and dominate the players you are better than.
the 2 people who commented below me dont know what theyre talking about. they probably have never won any futures tournaments and arent professional players
that serve was about 100mph, yes you are right
for someone ur size, i can see you hitting 120mph if you put more force and anger behind the ball. theres always going to be some sort of sense of anger for a split second for a really fast serve
the serve has a lot of power for a short wind-up, which is good.
Ummm lol, are you just trying to troll me? #1 Im not hating on him at all, im am merely going to point out the fact that his serve is not "110+ mph" I in fact have played professional tournaments and won matches, however I am not ranked in the top 800 or in challengers, which is why it seems you already know my background and are trying to troll me. But even many people who have not played high level tennis can recognize the speed of his serve approximately, and see form issues barring "110+"
by the way tonlars, i didnt know who were at all until i clicked onto your profile. good for you that you play tennis. youve won matches, but does that get you atp points in the end? no it doesnt
its obvious that you concentrate a lot on consistency and thats great, but at the same time i see youre unable to really let your body relax and go loose, and hit the ball really hard with lots of topspin. your style is constipated and its obvious why you disabled your comments.
Thanks, yes Ive played two futures tournaments and won matches but did not win the 4 matches in a row for the point. Ive beaten several ranked players and im very close with them so if I played more of them eventually I would start getting points, but it just gets you in debt. I prefer to play open tournaments and I win several thousand dollars in the summer doing so, which is fun.
Many of the videos I have on here are from 2004 and are basically warmup rallies. I play very aggressively now
that serve is 86 mph

A forehand Grip, no body rotation, and bad technique, equals epic fail. Its not even close to 110.

Poor technique, nobody can generate a 110 mph serve with that technique, that racquet speed, and that poor usage of the body.

that serve is nowhere near 110...maybe kph

peepeedribble, if you watch one of the fastest servers, andy roddick play, his average second serve speed if around high 90's definetly not 110
