I believe this should be bought back as there needs to be a show which promotes fitness and make it look fun at the same time (Past experience of trying to make FB challenges in my garden at summer).
However, my only worry is that they would rid of the epic soundtrack the Channel 5 version had. but also I'm not sure if Melinda and Leslie would be willing to make another series. Those 2 made Fort Boyard for me. Plus due to the current fort style it looks like a Child-centric tv set nowadays.

@TheCbbconchoice Series 1 had 12 in total, Series 2, 3 & 4 15 episodes each in total and Series 5 (Challenge) 20. I remember reading it somewhere. I saw all the eps you uploaded so far :) Also saw 2 others from Series 1 a few years ago on Challenge and neither have been the ones you uploaded so far. Just to let you know :)

I've got a few episodes on VHS which I've transfered to DVD but I recorded them in LP and we had to get a new video recorder when the one I used to record died and the picture is bouncy and the stereo sound is lost.
I recorded parts of seasons 2 and 3. I didn't get the chance to record season 4 for some reason.
I loved Fort Boyard when it was on Five. If seasons 1 to 4 have not already been deleted from the Archives, they deserve a repeat on Virgin 1 on Freeview. Dave (part of UK TV) are well known for their Top Gear repeats and they recently aired Robot Wars Extreem in the summer, it might be worth asking them to get the rights.
the swedish version are best, i think ;D there is about 4 different versions of this series, but all is recorded at the same place :D only in swedish the series is named "Fångarna På Fortet", which means "Prisoners Of The Fort"

No way! Melinda was much better than Jodie. She was an awful presenter, totally un-natural and the show had such an obviously cut budget compared to the Channel 5 series..

Hi there! Thanks for your comment! I have loads of the shows on tape but non currently on my PC. I've actually just come back from France yesterday and went out to see the fort on Sunday so will get a video up of that soon. If i get some space time i'll see about putting up an episode. FTN are owned by Flextech who own Challenge who commissioned Series 5 of FB in 03. No one currently ownes the rights of FB series 1-4 made by Grundy and Thames TV. Someone might pick up the rights again one day :)
funnily enough I have just come back from holiday recently (on Sunday 19th)from Belgium. on the Saturday we stayed in Calais where I hoped to see the French fort Boyard - this was sadly cancelled due to the football, although I did manage to see the French version of treasure hunt, but it was a shame I couldn't understand a word! I wonder if virgin media will buy the rights for FB series 1-4 for their new channel virgin1 which may replace ftn.
in the 1990 french series, a guy got stuck. i think there was a women in 2000 in the russian series who also got trapped. there may be more as well, as i haven't seen every episode.
Challenge tv lost the rights to series 2-4 of fort boyard but i think may buy them back. As the Flextech companies have been bought over by Virgin Media, there is a good chance we may see some Fort Boyard on our freeview boxes!
How interesting!I think it's a shame that FB got the chop...Ch5,in my opinion is not as good as it used to be!I only remember series 3+4 of FB as I was not aware of FB 1+2 being broadcast.I think that once FTN has finished replaying the Crystal Maze,they should play the original FB series.I believe challenge have replayed the original FB,so FTN have the rights to show it!I reckon you(ccroft2003)should put some of the games up if possible.Thanks for putting this video up

This show should be back on ordinary telly with new English TV Presenters.
I don't think they do Fort Boyard in English accent anymore.
It mostly done in Franch now probably because its in France
