@Drutka77 I think Shamar Rinpoche's Karmapa candidate is probably a very good lama. However, he isn't the reincarnation of the 16th Karmapa. I think one day he will reveal that to the world. Kenchen Thrangu Rinpoche said that both of them (the real Karmapa and the person you took refuge with) are good, but that one is better. Of course, the real Karmapa is better because he carries the blessings of the lineage and is a Buddha. Best of luck to you and your friends studying under Shamar Rinpoche.

We are all Buddhas, and in the perfect view, we are not separated, we are one.

And as I know, I saw that documentary. All of our teachers (like Lama Ole Nydhal, Hannah Nydhal , Serab Gyalcen Rinpocse, Guru Rinpocse, the 17th Karmapa Thaje Dordzse...and so on) I can see them as the truly nature of my mind. So that's my way. The Diamond way.
