Reminds me of the days of Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear, Ghost Recon etc.. back when real tactical shooters were prevalent. Now, there are so few realistic tactical shooters that when people see one they call it a "simulator" ....hahahaha...

New Rainbow Six coming in 2013..so maybe a return to real tactical shooters.

Arma and Operation Flashpoint are about all thats available right now.

@KingRobertoII The SP is ok and the coop campaign with 3 friends can be fun but the MP is plop imo.

Ive not played for a while but i remember it had no anti cheat in place.

Steam had it for about £3 a few months ago on offer, so maybe look for a deal.

The map ish uge so theres plenty of exploring that can be done and the map and mission editior is a nice feature to.

@owner8515 No real cover system and no lean out but if you are say,behind a fence you'll automatically rise up to shoot over the fence when you go into scope view or iron sights.Like any other game this one has it's flaws but the core gameplay is spectacular.The combat is gritty and you MUST use your teammates to accomplish the objectives.Sometimes your teammates will commit suicide if you force them into too much enemy fire.Enemies will maneuver against you,trick you,create diversions,flank....

@owner8515 No problem.The game is very difficult to complete.Some missions are timed and this is completely ridiculous.It's a tactics heavy game made for adults.Kids will probably find it impossible to finish or even get a good start and end up hating it.For what it is you won't find better unless you go with Arma II which is PC only and a buggy mess from what I understand.

I saw your comment to R3APER too.Look,the single player IS good.The controls have a steep learning curve and it takes time to figure out which fire orders and formations are best for a given situation.Once you get that down it's a lot more user friendly.And always remember this:The goal is always only to complete your objectives.You want to AVOID combat as much as possible.Gonna send you a PM.
