  • I'm loving your videos and must say I have gained much respect for LDS also. I'm hoping to be able to visit a cannery soon too. You've won me over as a new subscriber. Great work.

  • @1macy69 Thank you for your kind words! I have heard (and not yet confirmed) that in some area's you MUST go with a member of the church. As I said I have not confirmed this but will try and post the info when I find out.

  • @kmikesell The words are true and from the heart. I need to call the cannery and find out, but hoping I'll be able to go. It would be really strange to advertise for a "friend" to go with me lol Much respect.

PS Cooking without electricity is something I'd love to see more of, I'm still working on that one for long term.

  • @1macy69 Easy to find...Just look in the Yellow pages, and find a local church and tell them your interested in food storage and they should help you.....Point them to my Youtube channel too!

  • @kmikesell Thank you so much!

  • You and your wife are doing such a wonderful thing sharing this life sustaining info here on on the YT. I now don't feel so overwhelmed by this process. THANKS

  • @vida130 You are welcome! Stay tuned for more!

  • I guess when it comes to it, I will have to take the counsel of my Father in Heaven?? I am hoping that if we share it will be like the loaves and the fishes??

  • @1994buttons I cant imagine god not blessing you for giving charity

  • thank you for the charity idea, I think I will do the same to help out other family members and close friends, but with my Neighbor hood there is no way I can let anyone know what I have here, they would rob us blind or worse kill us. I know wish we had moved to the country way back when ! But thank you so much for all the time you have taken to make these videos!

  • @Pippie2010va Thank you for your kind words. I have recently been studying the "costs and benefits" of living in an urban environment.....If you'd like some info I'd be glad to share.

  • I like your idea about giving out a meal, here is my question? Where I live, there are few prepared. They act like nothing will ever happen. I am really having a hard time knowing when tough times hit, those very few of us who are prepared will be hit by countless members. I am more inclined to feed my non member neighbors over members who have been told for decades to prepare and have not. Am I bad for thinking this way...

  • That is exactly my wife's opinion. The members have been told for many years to be prepared, so she'll help those who have not be counseled to do so.

  • Well that makes me feel better... I am the Preparedness Person in my Ward, but I just can't seem to get through to them. I have offered to teach them to can.. not a bite. My husband and I both gave a talk on food storage, and afterwards our Bishop got up and said, as long as you pay your tithing you will be alright. Even our Bishop is not prepared??? I feel like why try, but Father in Heaven says to keep going. I am afraid it might be to late now??

  • @rosuabsc In all the preparedness scenarios floating around the internet and YouTube, there are those that expect the charity of others. Sadly being charitable has caused people to become less self reliant. Then these paople say it is your moral duty to help them.

  • God helps those that help themselves.

  • cause there food storage secret is there stomachs

  • And your point?

  • Well the reasons are two fold.....First I screwed up the aspect ratio when I down loaded it. Second, good food storage.

Oh one more reason, so that I could make you feel better about yourself.

  • I love this series! I live in an apartment and store my buckets in a closet too. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing what y'all have done!

I like the idea of preplanned charity packs when you aren't in the middle of feeling bad for the person. I've given cash and in hindsight it was foolish.

I think I'll make some for personal items like toliet paper, feminine products and shower gel that I store seperately in our hallway closet.

I love the idea having planned meals in a bag for my family too!!!

  • Thank you for your kind words. Have you watched the vid's on 365 meals? Also did you rate, share and subscribe?

  • I am so sorry. People who have food alergies have such a tough time..... I'm glad you like my work. Please make sure you rate and share!

  • Unfortunately her website no longer exists. If you'd like further info I'd be happy to share what we have learned.

  • i like this idea of charity in adversity.

  • In most of my lectures I encourage people to have food that the PLAN to share!

  • what is the name of the website of the woman who decided to make meals in a jar?

  • wendy dewitt right mike? i just found her website!!!

  • Yes, this is an excellent series. I, too, thank you for sharing it.

One thing...I always argue to store more than you will need. I don't know many people who will be able to sit with a full belly in their house while watching the neighbor kids starve. It's good to store enough to share--at least a little bit.

  • This is an excellent series, thanks for sharing! I thought I had no place to store in my small apartment before today, but now I think I can do it.

  • You are so welcome. if you'd like some additional help, I'm all yours!

  • that's for that! Although we are a little "plump" it's not a food storage system that I endorse. You should be fit, and we're trying.

  • My "Food Storage Secret": Store canned food and canned liquids and... put on some WEIGHT: each Kilo overweight means 7000 kcal that'll make you survive for 3-5 days (with enough water and vitamin pills you will also have thought of). Watch your fitness, but that's something you can do and something you won't forget! (unlike these videos here, lol). The speaker in the video is already doing fine with overweight, though.

  • @ miguelsoto Whoa I like the idea you are on,but take it from someone with a degree in physiology you are making huge leaps & bounds with the extrapolation of facts. 1 kilo PURE fat is just a little over 7kcal. You will also need protein and some fat as "kindling" as well as some carbohydrates to preserve the huge amount of fat ( energy ) WASTED converting it ti glucose. It is not a direct conversion of x kilos of fat = y USABLE calories. Then it is only converted to glucose.

  • another good one, but make sure you don't let your neighbors know you are doing this so that when it comes time to use it they may rush you, kill your family, and take your food. To combat this, be sure to have guns ready; the law of God says you can defend yourself.

  • I will make available on my website all of the recipes that we have used. (with permission of course) The nice thing about making these meals is that they are light, easy to store and even easier to transport. In a standard "milk crate" you can get 20 or so!

  • Of the books that you showed that you gleaned recipes from, which did you like the best. What I am trying to ask if I just had to choose 1 to buy which would be the best pick? Since it is taking months to receive dehydrated food here do you have any suggestions? I have an order coming in next week and we'll see what they couldn't ship. I live in a hurricane prone area and really can't take the food storage with me when we have to evacuate. Any suggestions?

  • Great info! Will watch all the rest later. If I were you though, I might not mention on the internet that you store it at your home in case of/when the worst happens, and you actually need the food - so will everybody else out there and they may not all ask nicely! Or is that a dumb comment?Respect and thx for the vids

  • bovinesound: If someone else is needy for it, share it with them instead of fighting over it. Than work together in getting new food in.

kmikesell: Thanks for the upload, im not religious - Thank "god" for that - J/k

but still it's important theme to lecture about.

Imagine a world without money and religion - Just love and truth, ALL love and truth.. Oh what a wonderful world that would have been.

I can still dream of it tho, again thanks for the upload, nice of you to share.

  • You are very welcome. We will be posting specific ingredience soon!

  • Thanks. I learned something.

  • Great Video! Do you have more info on the amounts for the soup mix? Is it the same ratio of fresh to dehydrated...I'm thinking probably not. Is there more info on your website? Thanks!

  • Thank you for your kind words. I will see if I can reproduce the recipee's with permission. Please share these video's with your friends. Kory

  • LOL that's why I make these video's! Hope you check out all of my videos!

  • hopefully they won't be secrets long
