I did this to my Glock Gen 2's back in '93. I don't think we had YouTube back then either. I was on my own. (Nobody liked Glock's back then.) I also added lighter connectors for 3.5# pull. Things have changed and some improvements have been made to the firearm, but the design is still the same. Your approach is an intelligent and simple one for anyone to follow. Nice job!
@kspnosa Yeah, that would probably work and I'd thought of it. I'd just like something a little more substantial, the reliability of which has been tested. I'd also like something that doesn't require a permanent modification.
Thanks much. Clear instruction, easy to follow, great results. For the guys saying he goes too fast, you do realize you can pause and rewind YouTube videos, right?
@doctim11 I'm about as yankee as yankee gets and I can understand him just fine... then again, 80%+ of my family is from the deeep south so I may have an advantage :p
Either way, great video. I plan on stripping down my glock 17 to do this tomorrow.
Thanks, easy to follow and it DID make a difference . Even though I was already running 3.5 connector/spring I can tell the diff. Very well worth and it only takes 10 minutes . Thanks again.
GREAT tutorial. did this with my g26. made a slight difference. was kinda scared at first to fully disassemble but you made it pretty easy to follow and now i know exactly what to do. AWESOME video
I did this to my glock 17.....I couldn't tell a diffrence when I was dry firing it inside...I took it outside and ran a Mag. throught it....WOW.....It is a great trigger now, very smoth and crisp...THANK YOU very much.
Great video, however, after reassembling my Glock i noticed the trigger was getting inconsistent tough pulls. Later, I lightly oiled up the connector and trigger bar and now it is smooth as butter. Cant wait to shoot it.
Hello. What kind of dremel tool were you using? & how much did it cost? Do I need an expensive one with multi-speeds in order to do the job correctly. ThX. Sincerely, JAMES.
For my part, I used Blue Magic ( Liquid Metal Polish - Blue & White bottle), used for wheels or jewels and it went really well to polish every Glock parts!

Cool vid, I used FLITZZ polish (silver tube) and I polished everything. I have seen a few videos on how to do a ".25 cent" trigger job.. We are being told to just polish the certain spots, Why not everything? I understand that some metal can come off from over polish but I did a nice light polish and everything looks good. I did not take off any metal or grind or round anything off so I don't think it's a big deal if you polish all over, correct me if I am wrong..... Thank's everyone.
You did an excellent job describing how to detail strip everything. I link people to this even who aren't looking to do any polishing, because you're very clear and detailed. Thank you very much my friend.
Great video. Im not sure why you are so conservative with the polishing though. I polished everything in my G33, agressively. I tried the minimal polish and was disappointed so all the guts look like chrome now. What a difference. I highly recommend polishing the shit out of it all.
I haven't tried this yet... but totally will. Thx so much for making it! One question though...
I feel like there is 1 more spot you could polish on the trigger bar. The very back most part of the trigger bar gets pushed into a 'catch' in the frame that forces the whole trigger bar assembly downward... once it's moved low enough, the trigger pin slips out and springs forward. Couldn't we attempt to polish that contact point between the 'catch' and the backmost portion of the trigger bar?
Your video was the first one I found that was clear enough that I was confident to do it. Just finished and also polished the feed ramp while I was in there. THANKS!!
Dude, I've been watching your vids and YOU can SHOOT! You have some mag change skills as well! I was about to subscribe to your channel, but i noticed that it was hacked. Let me know when you get it back up and I will sub! I do a lot of gunsmithing as well, and I've did a trigger job on my Mini-14 and it was a TASK with the rough cast steel in the action. Glocks are nice, But I prefer my HK USP. Also, for future reference, try metal buffing compounds like jewelers rouge.

@parkerxxxxxx Same here. Back then it was just: open it up, see where things are rubbing, polish them, reassemble.

The real problem with the Glock trigger isn't pull, it's overtravel. When you can figure out how to correct that for 25 cents let me know.
MrMZaccone 2 months ago
@MrMZaccone buy a 2mm hex head screw. drill & tap the trigger mechanism housing. adjust screw & test for over travel. repeat process if necessary..

Slow the F down. I know how to completely disassemble my Glock but others don't

Much smoother than original. Not a lighter pull in weight, but no longer that gritty pull prior to ignition. Big difference! Thanks a bunch.

Polishing the connector half or 3/4 down is fine but doing it all the way down won't do any damage.
