Few weeks ago I unpacked about 60 or 70 of these gas masks during my work practice in finnish army surplus store called Varusteleka. I own one myself too, even though it doesn't have voice box like this one has. But it was pretty cheap. 12€ with a bag and that would be about 15,20 US $ and basically brand new. Never used and filter in original plastic bag. Really comfortable and rather easy to breathe with.

The bag is in everyday use. Good quality and pretty good compartments for stuff.

Hey I would appreciate if ANYONE would answer this question for me. Are the lenses shatterproof? Because I would love to use mine as a full face mask for airsoft, but I am too chicken to shoot mine with my gun in fear it does not hold up and I break my mask, and I sure as heck wont go find out on my own. @ADepressedwhale If you're 18 years or older, fields will allow you to not have to use full face protection, but if you're under 18 you have to wear full face protection at fields or they won't let you play, call your field and ask, they'll probably say no. If you play privately with friends like I do, you can wear whatever face/eye protection you want, but gas mask lenses should protect your eyes from mid range shots from a 370 or so FPS gun. Hope this helps.

if they bring it up, just have something ready. its what i do, because no one asks about my Mask's eye proctection, i play with risk but its not like someones gonna be tempted to aim high and miss.

but yea, living in a state with bipolar weather. best to say it gets hard wearing a mask when its hot. so a backup is nice

if you shake and hear nothing, the Charcoal may be dusted and Fine grinded. and at the same time, dont breathe in Charcoal that has been deteriorated into a fine grain

@TyrantGrandburnin As a collector, do you know if there are any hazards with old M61 filters? I have one that expired in 1990, it was manufactured in Finland by Kemira in... 1987 I think? I've heard that American C2 filters run a risk for chromium toxicity, which is why I'm curious.

M61 filters are carbon type nbc-filters like modern ones today. I haven't heard people had any problems using them. Fact os the filters are 20 years old and some could be too expired to protect enough. So If you would like to use the mask in real life situations (pains shops or so), you should buy a filter adapter and a brand new 40mm filter like scott pro 2000 series.

some new filters on the other hand, i hear from the US army C2A1 filters that used to be used in US gas masks had produced a form of Chromium Toxicity after expiration of the date.(give it 10/20 years)

I just ordered two of these, one for me and one for the wife in case shit hits the fan....I havent gotten it yet, but I've read and seen lots of reveiws and it seems to be a great mask for the money...just bought mine for 10 bucks each on cheaperthandirtdotcom....the only thing I dont like is the lack of a drinking tube...I guess I'll just hope I can drink and clear the mask effectively after lol.
