He looks like a guy to me. But there is one thing I would add. I would give Edward more crows feet around his eyes to make him look older. After all he is the oldest engine.

oh yeah I realised all engines have their own theme lol I was addicted to thomas the tank engine for like my whole childhood Edward was my fave and Old Iron was my fave episode cause it shows him as the hero but I lost the video with that episode on it :*(
