I am an intern at the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Aurora, Illinois. I was wondering if I could get a dvd version of this video that we could play continuously each day in our ReStore so that customers could view it.
Wonderful work! You hit all the perfect points for Habitat. Habitat is in the top ten of domestic residential builders in the USA and everyone should know that this is a real, simple, local solution and it works! I love this and would like to obtain this video for my presentations to potential volunteer groups.
@fotogbill I agree! I am an intern at the Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Aurora, Illinois. I would love if to get a dvd version that we could play continuously in our ReStore for customers.
Thanks Habitat for Humanity International for making this video and posting it on YouTube. I can now send it to many friends and other interested in HFH. A great tool to get others involved in Habitat.
For Jai666666...below. I believe HFHI is providing information and support for local Habitat affiliates to involve veterans as you are suggesting. This kind of a program can be a great support for vets that are transitioning back to civilian life.
Not a single comment, it doesn't seem right. First, many thanks to Jimmy Carter for a program he never gets any credit for. Second, maybe an apprenticeship for war veterans that wish to learn a trade in home building could help this housing program gain some new momentum. What better way to learn plumbing, to get some working cards as an electrician or carpenter then by building homes in sinister zones around America.I can only throw the idea out there, but a trade for a veteran isn't bad.
@Jai666666666 Jimmy Carter was not the founder of Habitat for Humanity although he is a great advocate. Many affiliates have veterans build programs with veterans building homes as well as being partner families.
