I have a 2006 Hyundai Tucson and had no problems since I bought it new. I got tired of American cars with their multiple recalls. My last American car, a Ford Focus had 5 recalls in a year! And previous to that was a Pontiac Fiero which also had lots of recalls. I bought my wife a Hyundai Sonata and they are just the best cars for the price/value.

A 28 years old woman died yesterday, here in Brazil, driving a Tucson. But wasn't her fault. A Porsche hit the Tucson at 150 km/h, in a quiet street!! The Tucson was destroyed!!

People don't realise that when they pay a sum of money on a car they don't buy only the looks, comfort, peformance etc. These are merly as important as SAFETY. My father had an accident today, driving a '07 tucson. He had 2 impacts: first triggered the airbags that blocked his visibility then the car smashed into a 50cm height concrete thing (don't know english very well) at 60 km/h. The car flipped over on his side. He escaped with some bruises and joint pains.
there is nothing wrong with Hyundai now a days only a fool would spend more money that they need to .but we Hyundai drivers already know that .my 5 year old Tucson has never let me down and still looks and drives like brand new .and unlike a BMW is unlikely to get nicked

i got to say...I have a 2005 Tucson.... 6 months later of my dad bying it as a birthday gift... someone hit me in the right tire/fender..... it was a ugly accident and my mom and I are alive thanks to God... we also have a Santa Fe and too be honest both have been tremendous cars, i really can't complain. i love my Tucson & like someone said.."All cars are good if you take care of them". i know the streets have crazy drivers, I live in Puerto Rico so lol! ...but i cant complain about my Tucson.

just 3 days ago my cousin who has a 2005 Tucson came across with Mercedes E class(the one that has 4 headlights).The average speed of both was 100km/h.Tuscon proved that it is not more than a crap:1. the airbags did not open 2. front side of the shell deformed in too much so my cousins left leg broke by three places ,right leg to in one part,and right arm.To everybody`s great surprise his head and internal organs did not get hurt.And that is because Mercedes is lower than Tucson.
I buy this car and it's very very good! Far away view, nice interior and I don't have to pay for a sign on front. I feel safe! Look on the BMW X3 crash test, looks same.

I dont get the hate either. I never driven a hyundai but it really held up well on the frontal crash test. Who gives a crap about the engine when your life is at stake!? Engine being crushed cleanly absorbed the life threatening impact and pretty much prevented further infiltration of the force into to the cavity. Unlike other popular cars, you don't see the dashboard moving towards and crushing the driver this is because the impact was absorbed properly which ultimately saves lives.

@nicholaspaul1996 Japanese Cars had the same approach in the 70´s and 80´s. in the 90´s people started to trust them, in the 00´s they OWN the world (Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Infinity, Honda, Accura and others).
Korean Cars are going the same way, I have a Tucson and a Value Safe Truck hited me in a front Crash. I am alive and the Tucson, Is new as it was just bought yesterday.
Never doubt the Asian minds. Next cars will be the Chinese.

@leogeeko The Japanese have always valued quality unlike Chinese made products. Even back in the 80's the Japs were reknowned for their quality and workmanship. Chinese and Japanese have different mindsets. But the standard is still set in Europe, and will always be.

i got to say...I have a 2005 Tucson.... 6 months later of my dad bying it as a birthday gift... someone hit me in the right tire/fender..... it was a ugly accident and my mom and I are alive thanks to God... we also have a Santa Fe and too be honest both have been tremendous cars, i really can't complain. i love my Tucson & like someone said.."All cars are good if you take care of them". i know the streets have crazy drivers, I live in Puerto Rico so lol! ...but i cant complain about my Tucson.

I get a friend that had to swim whit his family a wole river to leave K after his daddy get killed at his job in front of evryone by the soldiers. just 3 days ago my cousin who has a 2005 Tucson came across with Mercedes E class(the one that has 4 headlights).The average speed of both was 100km/h.Tuscon proved that it is not more than a crap:1. the airbags did not open 2. front side of the shell deformed in too much so my cousins left leg broke by three places ,right leg to in one part,and right arm.To everybody`s great surprise his head and internal organs did not get hurt.And that is because Mercedes is lower than Tucson.

Isso é observado em quase todos os chash tests frontais que eu ja vi. e os lareis só são ativados em caso de colisão lateral, deixando a cabeça desprotegida nas batidas frontais. I dont get the hate either. I never driven a hyundai but it really held up well on the frontal crash test. Who gives a crap about the engine when your life is at stake!? Engine being crushed cleanly absorbed the life threatening impact and pretty much prevented further infiltration of the force into to the cavity. Unlike other popular cars, you don't see the dashboard moving towards and crushing the driver this is because the impact was absorbed properly which ultimately saves lives.
