  • i love it!!!! we all are damo suzuki!!!!!!

  • if everyone bothered listening to the fall, they'd be the most popular band on the planet.

  • Sounds like Bauhaus playing Can's "Oh Yeah". Not The Fall's most original moment.

  • No, I am Damo Suzuki!

  • @MegaKevorkian No, I am Damo Susparticus!

  • We all know who Damo Suzuki was. We're not listening to him...We're listening to The Fall!

  • Amazing song...amazing drumming!

  • Brilliant performance. And for those not enlightened Damo Suzuki was the original lead singer of the German art rock band Can (even tho he was Japanese)

  • woaaaauuuuu

  • I wish they would've played this when i saw them.

  • saw them on this tour, in NYC .. killing machine..

  • beauty!

  • I saw a performance by, and met Damo Suzuki earlier this evening in Edinburgh. He radiates good feelings and happiness. See him perform any chance you get. He's planning on continuing this world tour until he drops dead (preferably on stage). I was blown away! Peace to all the mighty, mighty Fall fans.

  • @amnodeidyet, yip, i was lucky enough to speek to damo in aberdeen as he was playing with my mates band. the boy is awsome but to be honest i prefered malcolm mooney's style with can. taigo and ege was my fav tho

  • @malkiebroon It's all good! I love being alive! Peace and noise!

  • Mark E Smith, I hope you know identity fraud is a crime? You are not damo suzuki

  • A few years back I found Damo Suzuki's web site. It had a guest book (remember those days?). I had no idea who he was at the time and left a message saying how surprised I was to find he was a real person. He sent me a nice reply telling me that he definitely wasn't a figment of Mark E Smith's imagination. I've caught up on the history of Krautrock since then.

  • no answer

  • No one is complete until listen to The Fall.

  • speak it says damos spirit....... I AM DAMO SUZUKI :@

  • aaaaaaaaaaaasu, se parecen a las sesiones de ballstopers, asjdsjadjasj :P

  • Generous... valeric... Jehovah's.... Witness

  • MAKES EGG GOOEY

  • I could listen to MES being interviewed all day and I have loads of Fall albums but I cannot listen to one all the way through. I tire really quickly of the dreary monotony of the music, with one or two exceptions. Tony Wilson summed it up perfectly when he said he was a fan of The Fall but not of their music.

And as much as I love MES this song is dreadful.

  • @ullyanders i know what you mean exactly

  • @ullyanders fuck off man, this is one of the highlights of one their best ever albums. You obviously don't listen to them much.

  • So FUCK off!

  • So FUCK off!

  • BESST!

  • BESST!

  • My overdraft is an inverse relationship to the size of Marc E. Smiths shoe size

  • This could have been a Can-Track. It's definitely a great song!

  • stupid kazoonie

  • TOTAL AMAZING

  • this is a superb track

  • Too much information. Thks Mr. Smith.

  • ETERNALLY ORGASMIC

  • Agreed.

  • when you are tired of the Fall you are tired of living

  • @stuartcuts I'm tired of living, but I still listen to the Fall.

  • seattle

  • @ty3165 This Nations Saving Grace

  • @swolage bought it from amazon and it really is a great album

  • The Fall is one of my favorite bands. Is it to be considered a cult band?

  • That is kind of a stupid question. It's, like, the cult band.

  • @UberBeaver Yeah, Beaver, it is like a Very stupld question!. The mighty Fall have been described as a Cult band, if you subscribe to all this labelling, typo, Muso critics like, type, but dont let it bother yourself.

  • They are in Belgrade, Serbia, tonight!!!!

  • good stuff thanks

  • AAAAAAAAHHHHHH never thought I would find this XD

  • Can Rules!!!!

  • i bet no one knows what you mean but I do Halleluyah !!!

  • Best voice ever!

  • yeah one of the all-time classic Fall tunes from one of their greatest line-ups, greatest albums and (from this evidence) greatest gigs ... alas, I would have been a mere six years old at the time ...

  • fuck yeah

  • Fucking Amazing

  • What have you got in that paper bag?

  • Yeah thats Brix and yes the song is about Damo Suzuki.

  • Yea, I just looked her up. She's pretty hot ...

  • Say what you like about Mark, he's had some cracking minge over the years and his current wife is definitely worth a portion.

  • You filthy SOAB.

... but of course you are absolutely correct.

  • seoulstar, go back to holding John Lennon's limp hand you dull fruit.

  • Dunno wot the geezers singing about, but I must say I like it.

  • Lol, he's singing bout the Can singer aint he? well the title is him anyway. gotta confess never paid much attention to these lyrics--it's the overall song i like- weird and wonderful.

  • Fanx, I remember Can, from years ago.

  • yeah Damo Suzuki was the lead singer of Can in the early 70's.

  • Before that they had a black guy. Always trying to hide that they were Krauts that band.

  • LOL!

  • I Thought Malcolm Forbes was the lead singer of the Alarm.

  • If I was in Manchester at the Hacienda on the 8th January 1985 I would have seen this band.

  • And you probably would have gotten in for 3 quid 50 and gotten pressed a flyer in your hand for the same concert costing a whopping 1 pound 75 pence to press and if you would have had a shower on the same day you would have gotten la*d in the bathroom. But most importantly, at the same time you would have been part of rock history. What times those were back in the day in Manchester, eh?

  • CAN.....LANDED.

  • I like The Fall and Mark E.Smith has got to be the most entertaining interviewee of all time.

  • powerfulllllllll, hauntingggggggggg

  • Powder Keg is bloody brilliant. Why wasn't it a single? Or was it?

  • Awesome.

  • Malcolm Smith? what r u on about? your the one without a clue jurgenphd!

  • Who the *&^% is Malcolm Smith? MARK E. SMITH, YOU BLITHERING IDIOTS

  • you all need a dose of vitamin c

  • I think jurgenphd may have been taking the piss....

  • Jeez get a life man... music is doesn't always have to fit your criteria to have worth. I mean... if you're happy to be locked into the world of verse chorus verse, length between 2.5-5 minutes - fine, stay there - don't try to drag others with you. If musical meaning exists only in some particular group of determined notions about musical form for you.. then you have my pity... "Bloody smart asses, need their bloody teeth kicked in" - some generic fat ignorant ape.

  • great vid'

cannot beat Hex Induction 1982, Union Hall-Victoria University NZ.

  • Outstanding!!!

  • pendal witches spit

    skipton swallows

bring on the death of spring

    coiled madness

    parkers speed

    asahi4theband

  • wow...creepy...

  • this is my first post here... this is 'The Fall' at their best, Mark Smith at his best...Manchester before the ecstasy and the end of the Hacienda...the early days, the middle mass and everything et,etc... M. smith still does great music... love this song....don't understand the thing with the Beatles and all in the early posts... ask James Murphy @ LCDSoundsystem about it.... first look up for Can...maybe you will get it...all the best

  • First may i say a massive "cheers!" to kogler for posting this...great memories!... great comment hernani76!!...yes, the early to mid 80s in Manchester were fantastic...i used to love that club, b4 all this Madchester crap ( sorry just my opinion ), when decent bands played at the Hacienda, i was at this gig too...and remember 5 of us driving down to Bristol in a battered capri 2 weeks later to watch em on my 20th birthday....The Fall...pure science fiction...thanks mate.

  • My Angel Is A Centerfold

  • I remember listening to Bend Sinister on Mushes; ROD was fantastic of course, but by the time I got to English Grenadiers I was wishing it was Frenz Experiment! [You'll either know what I mean or you won't!]

  • Don't ever listen to this on acid. You'll regret it. Believe me!

  • how about magic mushrooms

  • yikes.

  • Sorry.

  • I suppose you're right.

  • What's it got to do with you anyway? My 83-year-old Mum doesn't like it either, but who would bother to ask her? I think Dire Straits are the pits but I never have to listen to them.....

  • I like The Fall AND Dire Straits. Whaddaya say to THAT?

  • Well....I think you may be giving eclecticism a bad name... but as I said, it's nowt to do with me or anyone else. I listened to Wim Mertens for 2 days solid recently, but I've got an Aqua Cd somewhere....there's nowt so queer....

  • I say hooray for us. That crazy quadruple-time drumming at the end of "Sultans" ("And says at last just as the time bell rings" -> pants creaming) is mad satisfying.

  • On a more serious note, can someone tell me who The Chisellers is about?

  • Most Fall fans look like they've got bad breath...

  • I understand why you attack me. I am actually intrigued and interested by Smith but this recording is bad because it is so boring. Great music doesn't have to be technically proficient, it just has to excite and be interesting. You lot are all Fall fans (me too) but would you honestly like this track if it was performed by someone else?

  • erm...isn't that the point seoulstar?

  • a personal taste in music? that isn't determined by popular vote? well you're certainly missing something.

  • "This is not good music. The Smiths made great music, so does Morrissey. The Beatles were really good, so are The Stones. The Who were A1 as well. But this.....Please tell me what I'm missing."

The Beetles and the smiths huh ...

oh I get it, the fall aren't overtly gay enough for your tastes.

    perfectly understandable

  • youre missing the poetry fool

  • ...and what poetry might that be?

  • I reckon you're missing a brain and a testicle or two....

  • The genius is what keeps you commenting on it. This music obviously means something to you, even if you wish it didn't.

  • loving this song -x-

  • What's crap is that you keep trawling youtube for fall songs when you dont like them.Must be boring as fuck in "Barbados".

  • Sound more like Hawkwind than Can. Or even Family.

  • What have you got in that paper bag?

    Is it..a dose of..Vitamin C?

  • great!!!!!!!!!

  • effing fantastic

  • anyone got bournemouth runner one of all time uber rated songlets

  • I love this song!

  • Nations saving grace tour oooooh

  • I only remembered the title. The song is from when I was so young. Thanks for download. Is this have original videoclip?

  • Great, thanks for the upload

  • I got no time for westen leson!! One of the last great fall albums This Nations saving grace. Thanx.Good to see.

  • and is not Exticate! great......or Middle Class Revolt or Code Selfish or, or ad nauseum.....

  • got anymore from that dvd kogler?

  • All right! One of my absolute favorite fall songs. Thanks a million.

  • superb, what a find, the fall at factory hq, with brix and legendary two drummer line-up, full can tribute....

  • It wasn't hard to find. It's from the DVD "Live at the Hacienda 83-85"

  • Superb indeed - brings back fond memories of This Nation's Saving gRace LP from the mid 1980s.

    Priceless.
