the memories at michigan and trumbull ill never forget them, my life long love affair with my Detroit Tigers began there, losing this great ballpark is like losing a family member
Great concept, but your slideshow skills are lacking. I had a hard time ignoring the chopiness. You would go through 3 pictures in a second and then have a random picture for 4 seconds, then 2 pictures in a second and a picture for 3 seconds.
I love the variety of photos and the concept of the video but the quality of the slideshow itself made it hard to watch.
WOW! Thank you so much for posting this. Tiger Stadium was a place of fond memories for millions of baseball fans, but maybe with some hard work, we can make Comerica Park a home to a whole new set of memories! Go Tigers!
Wow, this was absolutely perfect...I'm currently reading a book called "The Final Season" by Tom Stanton. I'm about half way through, got a bit tired of reading and thought I'd search youtube for a memorial video. Very nicely done sir! I used to go to the park all the time with my Grandpa & Grandma. Can't even think of the Tigers without bringing those fine memories back in my head. I thought I put my book down for the day but I'm going back to it! Thanks A Lot!! And... GO TIGERS!!
LOL that song is from the mid 80's, good players we had. Tram, whit, Gibby, Parrish, just good talent. Man I wish I was a little a older I could of went to Tiger Stadium. I was only 8 when they tore it down. I only went by Tiger Stadium one time. Comerica is nice but its not Tiger Stadium.
My grandpa used to take me to summer afternoon games when I was a kid growing up throughout the 90's. It's where I learned everything about baseball and fell in love with the game, My grandfather introduced me to baseball, and from Tiger Stadiums upper decks, he told me countless stories about when he saw many of the old time greats all the way back to the 30's from the very same spot. Now they are both are gone forever....What I would give for one last summer game with grandpa at The Corner.
I haven't watched too many tributes to the old ball park , But you did your dad Proud. It is an excellent tribute. My dad would have liked it. He used to take us across that bridge over the free way and we sat in left field behind Willie Horton.
I miss watching the game from so close up, Being born in Detroit and growing up on the sandlots in the City, Butzel Field Was our field or dreams.
Tiger Stadium Was the Best. The View coming into the stadium from behind the dugout was great. Bill
Beautiful. Too many memories to mention through my tears. I must say this however, Tiger Stadium was the best place to see a game on this entire planet. No other park comes close. Period.
Stop it you guys are making me cry. I loved the feeling you got when you were in Tiger Stadium...... you couldn't see out so the rest of the world wasn't there anymore, it was just the fans, the team, the sky and the green field.
One word...tears (in a good way)...excellent job. Everytime i see this, i try not to but get misty eyed. This is what tiger stadium meant to me at least. For those including myself who grew up watching baseball at the corner...forever at the corner! Just absolute shame they coudn't "modify" it somehow
I hear you. It really was a shame they had to tear the old girl down,or most of it anyway. First to third and, everything behind homeplate is still standing though. Man that was an awesome park to watch a good old fashion game of baseball. Thanks. Go Tigers!
Way to go excellent job i never got to go to a game at tiger stadium but i wish i did i am a huge tiger fan and i was real young when the last game was played there. R.I.P TIGER STADIUM WE WILL REMEMBER!!!
@marlinfan97 I attend my first baseball game at Tiger Stadium in June 1965. I was 7 at the time. As I recall, they played the Yankees. The last time I was at Tiger Stadium was in 1971, just before we moved to Florida. It was a wonderful place. It is really sad to see what has happened to Detroit though.
Thank you so much for posting this. Beautiful video! Nothing else can compare to a game at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull. I have so many vivid memories of that ballpark...not just the games, but moments like the feeling you get seeing the field as you walk in from the concourse...sitting in the left field seats on a beautiful June day and seeing someone's pennant waving in the breeze on the other side of the stadium...the voice of the announcer and the organ music...I could go on & on.
Thank you. that was a nice photo tribute to the history and story of Tiger stadium as created by a devoted Tiger fan. If I was your Father, that dedication would make me proud.

What idiots. This stadium held so much history. Now, it's gone. More hope and change for Detroit. Good luck.
