  • They are 40-50 years old

  • NEO HILLBILLYROCK´N´ROLL MAAAN!

  • these cats should be doin some classic dances not....what ever the fuck theyre doin. they should also relax with the leather i mean the jacket and boots is cool but what the fuck is up with the leather pants?

  • @ILIVEAGREASYLIFE

My thoughts exactly but you know how it goes: when a group of people 5000 miles away get caught up in a culture that isn't their own it is almost impossible to replicate it with any accuracy. So you get too much leather, exaggerated pompadours, dances that never existed and boys dancing with other boys<--- totally not authentic to American greasers/rockabilly/boppers/rockers/goths etc. etc.

Bless 'em, I mean they're having fun & I guess labels become pointless at some point.

  • theres greasers in every school u dont see a bunch of them but like 2-8 8 beacause i got my own crew over at fairfax high

  • Why do japanese rockers like to dance alone? =/

  • stop destroying rock n roll dance!

  • and btw, some ppl. do actually read the video's description, like I did when. hence my ire when talking about the lolitas.

  • most people don't read the description or just focus on the video. I thought you were referring to the rockabilly elvises who are the exact opposite of the lolita crowd - they actually move around instead of sitting around pretending to brood

  • Oh god no. I got my quiff up and I got my switchblade comb *grin*

In fact, this oct. me and my gf are going to the Rockabilly Rave in Vegas. She's been to Japan before and plans to take me to the park where the rockabilly/gothabilly crowd hang out. hell, I hope to get some pics of a bozozoku group who's affiliated with the yamaguchi-gumi who are all greasers.

  • you usually hear the bozozoku not see them when they go roaring off in the night. they seem to like odaiba these days but they're always shifting locales.

As for rockabilly folks, they're generally in front of Yoyogi Park.

For weirdness of various sub-cultures, check out Tokyo Decadance. It happens once a month in various locations

  • ?

which bosozoku are you talking about?

some of are affiliated with Mr. Yamaguchi and not only a greasers.

  • those goth poseurs piss mee off. they dont know shit about the goth sub culture.

  • they're not goth by a looooooong stretch. Apparently you don't know shit either about goth sub culture.

  • I know enough to have loved it during the 90s before it got overwhelmed by the S&M freaks, vampire wanna-bes and greasy metal heads in nyc.

and I was talking about the goth lolitas. Im sorry I wasnt clear enough.

  • @NYCPulpHero Maybe they arent trying to be goths? why does humans try to name everything? they are what they look like. call it what you want, i call it wierd culture i dont care about, cuz it dosnt affect my life in any way. :)

  • Hi, Dave! Thanks for subscribing to my channel. And for letting me know about this vid. This is really well-produced. Nice job. Now I need to go back out and find something else to shoot that you haven't already done better. Sigh.

  • I love these guys! Music and dancing in Harajuku on a sunday afternoon is my favorite weekend pastime!

  • Now I know where Elaine got her moves.

  • haha! you are right! LOL!!

  • Can Takenoko-zoku's b-boy and hip hop instead of rockabilly?

  • stfu

  • wtf. i never watched this video before and i didn't comment it. wtf.

  • Correct me if im wrong please!

In Australia i was the Australiasian Rockabilly champion Uhhmm dont know if its different in japan but over here you dance with a girl not some faggy dance by yourself? not to mention half the shit they do is classed as breakdancing and out of beat. Good luck with it guys maybe you guys are making a joke of it??

  • If you're wrong? I don't know what the hell you are babbling about. And you aren't so stupid to realize that the music in the video was put over the dancing, aren't you? They aren't dancing to that song so they can't be out of beat.

  • Yeah i'm from Australia too...And the only thing you deserve is the "Biggest wanker in Australia" Award. Fuck off buddy if you were such a Rockabilly champion you'd appreciate that they bother to go out of their way to have fun and promote Rock N Roll. Rare thing these days and i really enjoyed it.

  • 懐かしい!! I remember when that's all you'd see in Harajuku... Glad to see it hasn't disappeared completely.

  • hmmm...no doubt japan rocks it up too =D

  • Ha! Another great video. Very interesting!

  • haha i've seen these people (or at least a similar group of rockabillies haha) around Harajuku. fun video!

  • keeness! I wonder why they dont do some sock hop swing daddy dancing action with the girls,,, they like rip rockin and rolling solo?

  • awesome!!!
