Wonder if anyone could help me. I've done everything like in toturial except not using switch just manually connecting and disconnecting wires. Everything worked fine op to the moment after probing where i should power off. I've accidentially disconnected wires for a bit longer. Probing failed and for some strange reason drive is not powering up any more. I've tried pluging it into xbox again and drive isnt opening. When i connect it to pc it stays for like 1 min on POST.

@Seph313 im very sorry for you my friend but i think you just screw up big time. from what it sims, i think you cut the wrong wires or connected the worng ones to each other.

this is not a game you need to do every thing in the exact way to make it work. im very sorry. do you have the dvd key?

hey man, one question. I had a random person flash an xbox a while back and I never got a copy of my dvd key from him. Is it possible to update firmware without the original dvd key?

@Thegearsofwar2268 u allways need the dvdkey. you cant touch the FW w/o it.

to get it you only need tou build this mpx01 connector and use few guides. food luck

Yes I made it and it is a success. I didnt even solder a thing. I just wrapped the wires where I needed. Also I didnt use any switches, I just cut the wire in half and my friend disconnected and reconnected the wire when I needed. After flashing I just connected and wrapped with ducktape. Works great.

o i made the probe then i follow liteon dg 16ds 93450c it say plug in turn on .. so i do sata shows drive no key. so i press phatkey then messege pops up i turn swith off use needl on mpxo1 turn on press yes then wait say phat fail.. idk why

Yup it worked. I used the xbox 360 dvd cable , modified it using safety pin & wires and got the key within an hour of work. Power the dvd with xbox 360 power only.

Later , joined the broken wires in the DVD power cable and wrapped it with tape and its working fine on the 360 also.

What are great method of getting the liteon key, by reading other tutorials I though that I will not be able to mod the xbox 360 myself. Thanks to Asagoren, You deserve it !!!!!

Yo Guys This Thing Works Perfectly. If your like me and don't have an extra anything just use the Xbox's power cable you can just twist the wires back together lol. I didn't melt anything (can't xD)

@AlphaNxOmega I don't have a spare power cable, so does that means that I can make a probe using my original xbox 360 dvd power cable and join the broken cables back and use the same for powering up xbox 360. Please reply.

@syedhussaini1982 Of course you can use the stock cable again, like I did. I modified my power cable, got the key and wrap it around with some duck tape so it won't takes some space when everything is assembled. Go ahead make your probe and get your key, you got nothing to loose! :)

I confirm this tutorial as 100% working! I've probed successfully my Lite-On DG-16D2S 74850C drive just with the JungleFlasher so basically, I haven't spend a cent on Xecuter's tools for flashing my drive. Thank you @asagoren !

Also you don't need anything to power the drive just use the xbox make sure its plugged in to hdmi or the av cable so its stays powered. I don't know if this is live safe but it will let you play games.

This 100% works i did it with some switch i pulled out of a microphone, no solder as i didn't have any i just twisted the wires together. I made the probe piece out of a safety pin straightened out. Make the plug with these directions then follow the tutorial that comes with jungle flasher. I don't know why anyone would buy all this crap that i kept trying to be sold when you can easily make this yourself with limited electronics knowledge. you don't need any capacitors or any of that junk.

you can use any switch that makes for breaks the circuit. hell you could probably just twist and untwist the wires if you don't have a switch don't worry about being shocked its three volts.
