It makes me happy to se you bring a very beautiful Social Tango onto the stage / performance . I think you are "good medicine" for the Tango. Thank you!
these guys have a very specific style of their own, I would apreciate it more if somewhere in the dance they would shortly break away from that, just briefly speed it up, or go to open embrace, only to emphasize their main style when they return to it.
Thanks Jonny for your suggestions. Yes, we do have a specific style that emphasizes the walking in a close embrace, which we would never want to open. There eare enough other dancers, who do that, we don't have to, no? ;-) As for the speeding up or showing some other movements: there are other videos of us, where we dance more dynamic or rhythmic or where we do other stuff as well. Always depends on the music, our mood and our condition in that very special moment. :-)
Ofcourse you must dance how you wish! Just sometimes good dancers, like you obviously are, are not neccessarely good choreographers, and my comment was just an attempt to get something that is close to perfect even better. For my taste of course that is. keep on dancing!
And we aren't choreographers at all! We improvise every performance, with the risk, that one day it's fine and the next day totally boring. Hell, Detlef does not even know which Tango we are going to dance until he hears it on the dancefloor, 'cause I (Melina) choose it without him! ;-)
Beautifull,... musically and elegant *****
