I take it this was recorded in Dec 76?If that's the case, the material for Moody Blue was completed. In about a month,Elvis would claim illness to get out of some studio recording, hence the shortage on Moody Blue and 2, maybe 3 hospital extended stays were just around the corner, not counting the last time when he actually wasn't a patient.By Dec, 76, this guy's life had become abominable."Elvis still had it..washed up? Nah...he couldhave been better than ever past 1977" . Ok, if you say so.
Elvis is actually in great form for this year. If you see or hear the shows from the spring or summer of '76 he was not in good shape. Here he has lost at least 20lbs from the summer and
is in a good mood and great voice. If you can watch or listen too the shows from the end of Dec '76 the one from Birmingham Al is one of the best I've ever heard or seen. I'm glad this is out there I really enjoyed it.
His movements were very limited, indicative of severe pain as described in If I Can Dream by L. Geller. You can hear it in his voice, i.e. Bridge and What Now My Love. He should not have been on any stage but in a hospital bed, getting his health back. Poor man just gave too much.
@tnus2 That`s Tom Parker. He booked Elvis in Las Vegas which was a joke. Elvis was the biggest star in the world, and too big to do Las Vegas. He could have filled any arena or stadium in the world. Instead Tom Parker refused him to do a world tour and forced him to to long Las Vegas seasons for pocket change. It`s a damn shame.
@videowatcher077 Elvis looked terribly pale and sick during this season and most of the shows were below par. However, even when he was ill he was still captivating to watch. He should have been in hospital.
wonderful i love Elvis

One can see he is not well. The way he moves is indeed a sign of severe pain. The man just went on until he was empty. RIP Elvis.
