I bought an HHR because of the unique styling that I never get tired of- it's different. There's so many cars these days that are so boring to look at. People that say it is ugly is just an opinion. To me a Toyota Prius is ugly.
This review guy sucks more balls than Richard Simmons at a ball buffet. I like the cars, I'd drive the balls off of them. The Cobalt SS can be pretty sick, believe it or not.
True facts....however, you forgot to mention one thing..... given the same engine in both cars the HHR weights something like 300 lbs more than the cobalt......that will slow your acceleration and handling.
I think that large BMW suv at 1:40 can move faster than the HHR for fucks sake these review are for people who only know that the wheels on the bus go round and round...

My dad has an 08 HHR SS and he is 6' 4 inches our HHR has an upgraded exhaust and a few engine, suspension and transmission upgrades that cost him an extra 3000- 5000 dollars but the visibility is fine.

@bestamerica actually, the HHR has a 5 star crash rating for the front, rear, and sides, and 4 stars for a rollover accident. it also has OnStar, which is a plus. they're both very safe and economical, you just want an excuse to not like them. but that's my personal opinion, we're all entitled to our own. :)

I really dont think so...Ive driven both, ive worked on both, and ive raced both side by side...the supercharged one is faster because of the turbo lag. It IS faster over a long distance but the ss supercharged will take a turbo in the 8th and a good driver can take it in the quarter...seen it done.
Im actually buying (slowly unfortunately lol) the 2.8 pulley 60lb injectors intake and exhaust. not trying to make something out of it that it isnt lol but i want to make it a little more aggressive.

These cars are awesome I just wish they put on louder dual exhaust like the neon SRT4. I always liked how the SRT4 popped and rumbled when you let off the gas. Yeah yeah I know it's a stupid complaint but w/e.
Actually the cobalt SS does only come with a manual transmission and no automatic. HHRs however do have an automatic, and truthfully, the HHR destroys the Cobalt. I've raced a fully loaded Cobalt SS and i beat it by at least 1.5 seconds.

Actually the cobalt SS does only come with a manual transmission and no automatic. HHRs however do have an automatic, and truthfully, the HHR destroys the Cobalt. I've raced a fully loaded Cobalt SS and i beat it by at least 1.5 seconds.

The cars have the exact same engine but the ss has the suspension, no life shift, and launch control. The only way you did that was if it was the old cobalt ss that wasnt s/c or t/c just no way.

The new Cobalt SS shames all the other front wheel drive devils available right now. Period.
And I own a GTI.
For an example, the SS racked up 0.92 G (according to R&T magazine) in the skidpad. This is comparable to sports cars costing 3 times as much. Chevy deserves a pat on the back.
